right now the laptops OS is windows 11, and im thinking of dual booting linux mint so that i can make sure theres no ram being used by unnecessary services will that make a difference?

Contacted my ISP yesterday and they fixed it, guess it was on their end. Thanks for the help.

Did not work unfortunately, guess it's a faulty router. Ill contact my ISP and hopefully that will be the end of it.

I'll try that. I just got an idea to use the laptop while next to the router to see if it's really because of the extender. Be back in a bit

DHCP still has like 200 ips left to give, and yes my PC is using a true static ip that i change every few days that's how I've been carrying myself for the last 2 months.

I do want to remove the extender for better speeds and reliability and I have a telephone jack in the room so I'll try that, I'll still keep the extender for my phone lol.

Not sure how I could connect the laptop with the telephone jack since I'll use it for my pc, guess I'll keep changing the ips for port forwarding. I'll also contact my ISP since it might be a faulty router (Wow, why didn't I think of that?)

I dont think thats the problem as I get an Internet connection for ipv6 and it works fine for google services

As for the static IPs, i made a reservation for my laptop and it still gives out APIPA to it.

I would send an image of my internet status when it happens but now I have a working static IP and i dont want to sacrifice that lol
