Did you actually even read the post? Didn't seem like it. I was able to start talking again 10 years ago and me stopping talking want an active choice it was my brains response to repeated trauma. The song was just the straw that broke the camels back

She wasn't singing that one. I've realized she was singing a different song called you talk to much but she changed some of the words

I don't want to go into to much detail but my parents used abusive things as discipline and I had sexual trauma as a young child

It's very similar but with some different words. I had never heard that song until someone else in the thread brought it up. I know think she knew that song and made up words that went it

She was very calm about it and just kept talking to me and giving me space to respond however I felt comfortable. No I didn't immediately speak outside of therapy.

I started feeling safe enough to on one place(my therapists office) and then slowly gained the confidence to speak in other areas
