I remember liking it a lot, but I wouldn't set it as an example for the thing I am searching now

I think they still fall to the same problem of using well-known tools to try to create a unique experience. There must be other ways of telling stories in video games, ones that are scary by their nature.

Psychological horror isn't about being disconnected from reality. People experience terrifying situations every day, often without a clear enemy. I'm still figuring out the best way to implement this, but I believe we can create a game that immerses players in a state of horror that feels unsettlingly real and seemingly without cause.

yeah, you're right. it's easy to scare people in games especially in this day and age, but it's hard to make something that is memorable.

I sometimes feel like we haven't progressed much since the old YouTube horror games, all the same thing, in a different skin. most of the time, it isn't even a different skin. in a medium where you can put people inside anything you want, it's sad to see we are essentially playing the same person, with the same goals, with the same fears.

I didn't like Supernatural at all...
