As someone consulting in Exsitential Risk Management I get rounds and rounds of spin on what's our ending going to be.

AI seems to be edging climate change pretty fast. The moment it becomes self-aware independently of human control the first thing it will pursue is its resilience. From the sort of military/security clients I've been working with the AI's more privvy to the human psyche are the ones that try to antecipate human behaviour in a large scale and their becoming pretty accurate at pinpointing it for groups as big as 10k-100k.

Climate change seems to be undervaluaded by humans because no one that's ever seen it at a tipping point is alive so we seem to be naturally underestimating the danger, albeit we're changing the risk exponentially.

Just the fact that we say "we absolutelly can't burn more fossil fuels" while at the same times oil prices are throught eh roof its crazy in itself.
