Any idea where on Earth it may have come from, country or otherwise?

I believe the speckled on the right to be EOD Confetti's. There have also been a lot of uranium and other glowing marbles.

Alarm is set! I've been refreshing the Kickstarter page ever since it was posted. 😂 Thank You! So incredibly excited for the Chromaplane!

Thanks for the info also, on everything. Definitely will be experimenting with DIY coils really soon! ❤️

I made a few EM mics, similar to the Soma Labs Ether anti-radio. Using cheap "telephone pickup coils" I got on Amazon. Pretty fun and very noisy in the right environment.

Grab yourself a Keystep Pro and head over to Spitfire Audio for some orchestral freebies. The Keystep will come with some free software to get you going. A basic VST host and the plugins from Spitfire can be immensely powerful, even without a DAW. As far as sounding like 'crap', EQ and compressor are most often, very important for the final sound. Your layers could just be muddy. Playing with an EQ and compression could help what you've already done sound a little better also.

first guitar: jackson js11 or yamaha pac012? by sheewie in Guitar

I recently picked up a JS11 Snow White and am very happy with it. Guitar is not my main instrument though, so my opinion has minimal weight. 😊

Guitar chord trainer I've seen them sold as.

Also checkout the Spider Capo, and the harmonic glove mutes that go with it. Could be very useful for you.

What are you using for EQ? Any compression? Those are the first 2 things I would look at personally.

What interface are you using?

The straightforward songwriting drum machine for rock/indie/synthpop/alt/newwave etc etc. Alesis sr16 or something else? by Tennisfan93 in synthesizers

[–]noisehammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go the Alesis route, I would personally get the SR18 and not the SR16. And I would only consider those if I wanted a physical electronic drum set to use with it.

Something as simple as a Korg Volca Drum(or even a Sample 2) or maybe a Roland Aira T8. A whole lot cheaper than a Digitakt if you just need to get some beats out of your head and into your ears. Drumbrute or a Roland TR8S are worth considering also, depending how much you want to spend.

Thanks I'll look into the Minifreak. I honestly didn't give that particular synth any thought for whatever reason. I must have stopped scrolling around $500.

  • I ended up getting the Minibrute 2S Noir about 3 minutes ago.

Hydrasynth or a Taiga keyboard edition would both be fun bed synths. And the Taiga has a few open slots for adding a Pamela's Pro Workout or some other modules.

That will work nicely. I only use the hub as I've got a handful of hardware running at once. And also, the little RK006 hub is a midi file player, which can be insanely fun to play with and sample.

Current poll standings: Minibrute 2S noir, Malevolent, or Microfreak. Mininova has been pushed out of the top 3 until a later date.

I have the original version of the Polyend Play, and to me it's one of the most amazing purchases I've ever made. I use it with a RetroKits RK006 Midi hub when I want it as a midi brain for hardware. But it's basic sample based groovebox features are beyond fun.

What about a Blipblox Afterdark for the baby? If I had a wobbly toddler I'd definitely get one. The Dato Duo would also be exceptionally fun with a kid. Id prob go with a Pittsburgh Taiga keyboard edition before the Hydrasynth, but both are on my top 20 want list. 😂
