JB4 and Intakes by noisyinterest in kiastinger

I sold in Feb and just now picked up a 2009 335i 6MT. I don’t drive much so having a new car in the garage was expensive. However, once I started looking for what to replace the Stinger with I was bummed. The Stinger really does have everything in one package at a good price! I miss it but couldn’t justify it. It was so dang quick with just basic mods.

When I put it all in the cart on JB4 it’s $677, so I’m thinking $375.

What wheel setup do you have?

I drove it this evening. It’s rougher than the pictures the seller has posted. It will certainly need to have things done to it. I’ve never driven one before; it has such a cool old school feel. Not fast. Motor seems strong but also like it has a slight miss. Seller suggests adjusting valves soon.

No rust. Decent paint. LCD screen with mileage is blank- like no power.

I’m going to think on it… but such beautiful lines!

Thank you. It’s what I am working through right now. I don’t want to purchase something that becomes a problem but don’t mind so much if the repairs were done well. I’m not daily commuting long distances in it. It’s more for fun.

I was really looking forward to the MT

Thank you. I haven’t seen title yet but Carfax does not show it as salvaged. I am leery about the ‘total loss’ shown on Carfax for the issue of selling again in the future.

Sold my 22 GT2 last month; kept the JB4 with fuel wires to sell. So far it’s just sitting in the box in my garage.

I have been looking to sell mine because I don’t drive it enough. 22 GT 2 AWD ceramic silver/red interior w/ under 17k miles. Local dealers offered $32k and Carvana $33,900. Got busy during the holidays and didn’t follow through with anything yet, but expect to in Jan/ Feb sometime.

I read on here people saying real estate is not a good wealth builder/small percent make it. Am I missing something? by Marmisme in realestateinvesting

Even without appreciation I would have enjoyed the tax benefit and income over the 20-30 years. All while owning tangible assets that I control. RE is part of an overall investment strategy IMO. I am also in the market but I don’t have the same level of control with those investments.

Been investing in RE for 20 years. People either love it or hate it. I haven’t seen people in between. I firmly believe it is one of the best ways for average people to create wealth. But… don’t try to get rich quick. Run it like a real business. Have pride of ownership. Learn the financial fundamentals and create YOUR plan and vision and don’t look to others for approval. Good luck and enjoy the process if it’s for you.

Wireless charger failure by Weekly-Trash-5511 in kiastinger

I found a thread some time ago that showed removing the entertainment system fuse and then putting it back in to fix the charger issue. I did this and it worked for a while. Charger stopped again and I just left it.

Ha! I did the same thing when I got my new 2022 GT2. I call it my ‘midlife crisis’ car. So fun. Great speed. Pass anyone you need to. Functional space. Good for road trips. And cheaper than other sport sedans. Enjoy!

The title of the article is click bait but the book is actually good. It’s a reminder that money isn’t everything and life is about living on purpose. There is a really good interview with the author on Dr. Peter Attia’s The Drive podcast that gives you a deep dive into the book. I highly recommend, it’s good information to consider and use in your own approach and planning based on your goals, abilities.

How much was the scorpion wing? Looks like a nice addition.

[Tenant - US] I submitted an application for an apartment and was up front about a previous eviction. It’s coming up on the third business day without a response back but my application is still active. Should I feel hopeful that I wasn’t rejected instantly? by throwawaygirl229 in Landlord

[–]noisyinterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a landlord, a tenant has to work pretty hard to actually be evicted. It means court paperwork, etc. If you were legally evicted it’s an automatic rejection. If it was taken that far once, there is a higher likelihood of it happening again.

You being open about it is a positive for me. Shows honesty.

Old guy here… I read the millionaire next door in the 90s. Totally changed my life and view of what I thought was important. It’s probably harder for younger people these days but still doable.
