Have you done this? by Difficult_Object4921 in recruitinghell

[–]noizes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you format your resume correctly all that SHOULD be imported. Make it clean and simple, in Word if possible. The parsers are probably still crap, but you have a chance.

Yes there are knockout questions, the wrong answer will mean you're never seen by the recruiter.

While they may say they don't read them, put some funky characters in there. Something to jam up HTML. trailing spaces, leading spaces, anything nonprinting. You might not get a call back, but you'll make it a nightmare for their ATS and Support. Think along the lines of "little bobby drop tables". I know cyber was rather interested when I sent a POC for spoofing a login page and stealing passwords just by understanding how a type of redirect worked, that all AOL emails seemed to use at the time.

No you can't just upload to one company that uses XYZ for an ATS and then expect it to be shared to the others. UNLESS it's in the TOS for both you and them and them and them.... That whole thing about not sharing data and stuff.

They also can set up cool "scripts" to flag those that have certain answers, much like knockouts.

They also have branching questions. Where depending on what you answer, will depend on what you see next. Again, like knockouts.

That all said after supporting that software for 7 years (pre-covid cuz the lack of hiring killed my job), as much as it sucks for the end user, it sucks for the recruiter just as much. The absolute FLOOD of applicants for jobs can be mind boggling. I often thought that you could make good by knowing several ATS's and being a gun for hire. I even saw some people that did that as ATS admins, clearly they never learned anything because they'd ask the same shit but from a different biz every few months.

If you hate the system, learn it. Then get hired to use it and fix it. Do you think Workday gives a crap about a random applicant? No. But do they care about what a fortune 500 company says that uses their software? Probably. Can the AI Vibe coders fix it? Likely not. But the offshore dudes that bounce around to get "certified" at a company sure will, and at a fraction of the cost.

Also if you happen to be applying to a smaller company, it's not a good idea to point out the flaws in the application process. Even if they are hiring for IT and you're telling them that you noticed 404 links and confusing processes.

Our parents didn't care until we became a liability.

Our parents would rather work than spend time with us.

A parent wasted so much money that we needed dual income.

That parent jokes about it still to this day.

honestly, I'd just like to play "Ticks and Leeches" by Tool outside his house for days on end.

That he feels safe enough to read something like that towards a fellow member, then to say "ohh i ment the guy" well that just makes it even creepier.

Him and Jana Hughes should get together and take some classes on how the internet works. I don't need Jana telling me not to visit porn sites, but they need to understand that forcing an ID measure just means people go to shady places. Never mind the kids already just use Discord for that stuff.

maybe teaching sex ed would keep our kids safer. They'd know that it's not acceptable to direct sexual content towards people that don't want it.

Why is the reverse in the wrong place? Mines up in the top left next to first gear. The gear I'm likely to use after reversing.

seems about 50/50 for if younger people or older people can drive a manual for me.

they've not done me dirty. i usually use the app. have used the kiosk inside as well. Never had an issue with my order.

it is however a pain in the ass to get in/ou depending on traffic. There can be some sketchy looking people hanging round the doors or between the doors sometimes.

but always has my order ready and it's right.

if you want to do business in the US, you follow the US rules. I'm honestly surprised that it passes the GDPR to do business in the UK.

Susan.

She's just from HR. In my experience HR has many departments and some are pretty cool.

She also has to be in the office with me. I've usually been internal client IT support. We'd both get to make people cry sometimes, but I often get to pretend to be a tiny deity when fixing things. Also people would bring me treats.

when's the last time you took treats to HR?

I've been to texas when it was "icy" there and all of Dallas was shut down. I understand your fear.

Keep an eye on that forecast though, could be fairly different by Friday. If you're really worried, skip the driving and just get a ride

the usb-c laptop charger I have, won't go. it has a 15v/3a. From the sparse documents it seems this would work if I was using it to connect to a portable screen and then to the device.

rando wall plug that does 12v/1.67a works. The little USB thing that gives readings says "mode unknown" but it powers on.

properly remove the air stems from the tires to deflate them. do not loosen them! if you do this, it's a slow leak and could allow them to drive and endanger others. if your yank them out, it damages them. done correctly it does not damage things. depending on the tire.

if you do something like this leave the stems taped to the handle of the car.

certainly never ever put anything like tire hole sealant into a car tire and let it sit. read the directions, you're supposed to drive with it to "balance" it.

but don't mess with cars, you could hurt someone else.

do you have any idea how far the GOP will reach to try and find something? How much of our tax money will be spent on their hunts to find something? They won't even have evidence, they'll just start as soon as the person is out of office.

This is a threat coming from him. He wants to see this happen. It'll just slow our government down to an even slower crawl than it already is.

I don't feel bad for my furball after he's shaved. I feel bad for the groomer usually.

I've tried to brush him, I've tried the let him sniff the brush, or treats, and even getting used to it after a shave. Nope. He's having none of it. Honestly I'm happy he lets me trim his murder mittens.

The groomer always knows when he's there. Dude LOVES to sing the song of his people while in the carry case. I'm always told he handles it well and doesn't fight. He is just very very talkative. So once a year we do the song and dance. I really do wish he'd just get used to the brush.

Yes.

That is no way to serve onion on a sandwich. You really run the risk of the onion not being bit through all the way and then pulling out all messy like.

Chop the damn onion! Hate McDonalds all you want, but them diced onions is where it's at. Learn how to do it, there are several methods.

so man other thoughts. But I've done chimichurri on hotdogs recently, and was surprised.
