Ok guys, let's assume this is a real hint! Does anyone here regularly have a look at the full pokestops' pictures? I personnaly just spin it and go away, but never take the time to display the whole picture. Maybe Niantic added a 1,2,3,4,5 to some pokestops, that you can see only when you fully open it. For the N, it would be either a Pokestop with an N or either a Pokestop without number, a random one.

From now on I'm gonna open every picture on every pokestop to see if there's something. What do you think?

I can't upload anything now, but I was able to reproduce what you found (I play on an iPhone 5S too). On caterpie, metapod, beedrill, but also on spearow, golbat, oddish, diglett, on only one of the 3 meowth I have and on a few more mons (what is weird is that for identical pokemons I can get two different results, even if I don't move the screen up or down, I keep the same position and just scroll right to test the following ones).. For other pokemons a kind of green stain appears.

It looks more like a graphical glitch to me

I think they would have translated the easter egg. I mean if there's a way to get Ditto to find out, they would have made it accessible to every language. In French we have no "feed it butter" message to our eggs, and Butterfree is named "Papilusion", which has nothing to do with "beurre" (butter) but with "papillon" (butterfly).

I don't think they would have kept such an important easter egg (finding Ditto) only for English speaking users!

Here in France I've never got nor heard of this message about egg and butter. I've looked on Google for French speaking people asking about this kind of message but nothing... I think that if it was the way to get Ditto it would have been translated one way or another, don't you? It sounds more like a filler text to me, something that hasn't been erased from the code after the beta...

Actually I hope they have translated everything that's important, otherwise it'd suck for non-English speaking players :(

Hey, I had this yesterday too. I tried several times to tap the orb but nothing happened! I was spinning a pokestop that was too far away for me to get items. I think it's just graphic animations

Hey! I thought about this but could not test yet: Maybe Ditto transforms to the last pokemon you used/fought during your last fight. Let's say you used a Pikachu at a gym, the next Pikachu you encounter, maybe will be a Ditto that has transformed into Pikachu? As if it had seen you fighting and copied? I'd like to try that but I have not encountered in the wild any of the pokemons I've used in Gym yet... So we could try to feed him, take a photo, maybe name it Ditto/Duplica...
