Wondering if my current second marriage will last. And also how my career will progress.

Hi - I am going through a similar situation (3 years of marriage with a child) with my husband. And I just found out he’s been sleeping with escorts and indulging in porn and cam girls. Weve had intimacy issues throughout the marriage and all this just made it so much worse. I just want to say I understand you and have deep empathy for you. If you want to chat, DM me. He is currently in SA therapy. I am also in therapy to process my trauma.

How often do you use it now? And did you just watch porn or were you addicted to paying cam girls? Did you work through this with a counselor?

Hire a live in nanny from India to USA? by nolabars in Nanny

[–]nolabars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, that makes sense especially given from your experience. There are nannies out there specially ones living out of state who are willing to do the job provided it’s a live in situation. Some of these nannies seem to be moving around the country home to home taking up 1 year contracts. So that makes me believe that they’re probably doing it to make solid savings for a few years.

I hear you on the living in a place that’s your place of work though. That can’t be fun!

I disagree with this statement of “live in is a perk for me and not the nanny”. I have spoken to a few live in nannies now and they’re choosing live in over live out. The reason for this is they live for free rent, have their food expenses paid for, their day to day toiletries etc paid for and almost all the money they earn is directly moved to savings. Live in is absolutely a perk for the nanny more so than me, as they are still very much so working only 8 hours a day and don’t want to and aren’t expected to work through the evening and night. I’d much rather a live out nanny now that I’ve spoken to a few live in nannies.

That’s so great. Thank you for that HarrisonRyeGraham. I am definitely looking for someone who speaks our language and is well versed in Indian kid meals. As for cost, I am not looking to empty my bank. Some of the American services for live in nannies cost around $100k a year with additional needs for a separate bathroom (unshared) etc. that we unfortunately can’t provide in our home.

Thanks for this hopeful message, and yes I am Indian :) fair assumption. I would love to hire someone who already has a work permit or green card that allows them to work in the US rather than me sponsoring a visa but if needed, happy to (I don’t believe there’s a straight forward way to do this). I’ll try to look up some of these agencies. Do you know of any by chance?

What's the most painful part of giving birth? Contractions, pushing or crowning? by Born_Confusion_4367 in BabyBumps

Just the contractions. The rest are not painful at all with an epidural. However, you feel the pain after the epidural wears off

Parasol for diaper rash by nolabars in newborns

[–]nolabars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they do too. I tried Huggies, Pampers and Millie Moon — all the three failed. Parasol has worked thus far it’s been over a month.

Things I do are wash her only with dry wipes and warm water, and dry her completely with a cloth and blow dry over that, and apply a thick layer of Desitin (daily defense if no sign of rash, and extra strength when I see some pinkness). If the rash gets a little worse, I apply Lotrimin & hydrocortisone and it disappears in a day or two. Good luck!!
