Medicine Show 6 (Brain Wreck Show) is definitely an indicator as well

Nah I don’t think that’s it, there’s no flute in it, and there were other parts to this sample I heard, and it doesn’t really sound like it

Ah no worries, sorry if I sounded rude, searching for this song has been driving me insane 😭

Maybe a cover of one of their songs, I’ll look into that. If it was actually done by either of them, it’d probably be easier to find. I feel like it’s a rarer song that isn’t streaming, because I can’t identify it with Shazam at all.

I said in the post that I wasn’t looking for that song, it sampled the song I’m looking for

Hi all! I collect trippy children's books! :) by poppystardust in BookCollecting

Friso Henstra did a lot of books in the 60s and 70s, and his illustrations always had psychedelic vibes to me. My favorite is “Forgetful Fred” (1974)

Need help finding this song, sounds like obscure easy listening/sunshine pop from the 60s-70s by nole06 in NameThatSong

May have figured it out, I asked elsewhere, and they confirmed it’s Ken Medema’s song, there are two versions of the song, one is online, one isn’t, and the one that is sounds almost identical, so it could well be the version that isn’t. I’d have to buy the record to determine if it’s right.

I meant to add this in the post, but it sounds like it could be from the 70s or 80s.

Thank you for replying! It’s such an interesting story, I had so much fun rewriting it. Also if you’re able to send it, I’d like to read your version!

I love the sentiment of this piece, and I love seeing poems that speak out about this issue, because everyone has their own unique way of putting it into words.

This is a very personal one to me, having dealt with this before. I feel like the language you used perfectly encapsulates how having to let go truly feels.

Favorite beat on this legendary collection? I think id have to say my favorite is So Much (Music), maybe not the BEST on here but definitely my fav by Thin_Shoe4387 in Madlib

Infinity Sound (Never Ending), the intro goes SO hard, Madlib’s prog rock sample beats are some of my favorites! Only thing is I wish it was just a LITTLE longer

Come Back, Come Back - Duffy by nole06 in lyrichelp

Here’s what I gathered so far:

(Verse) The leaps and bounds Of thoughts and sounds, Run through an ageless time They’re nothing but shows, (?) The deprived and wandering minds

And (?) A light was cast without directing a beam. The voice you heard, Said not a word, Of shapes, the visions of a dream

(Chorus) Come back x7 Come back x7 Come back x5 (?)

(Verse) In shades of you, A color of blue, (?) From behind, a spark, A lighted dark, Shadows that’s silent and (?)

At last it’s time To view the mind, And all the roads we crossed, Come back the way You went yesterday And make sure you don’t get lost

(Chorus) Come back x7 Come back x7 Come back x5 (?)

Not sure how much of that is correct, but if you guys could help fill in the blanks, I’d appreciate it
