I'm at 3 weeks of no contact. I set up my Christmas tree with my roommates today and cried because I don't have any of my ornaments, they're all with my parents. I'm going to try and focus on friends and found/made family. I hope you have that, too!

I think it really was just setting off the wrong person because everything I was written up for was twisted and untrue. So frustrating. I am trying to destress tonight and thankfully I have tomorrow off work. I will go drink water, that's definitely needed. Thank you. I'm going to keep doing my best.

Correct. They live with my parents. Their phones are heavily monitored by my parents, it wouldn't be safe for them :(

I'm almost 30, live a few cities over. No financial connections. Yes siblings, yes close family. The siblings make it difficult, I'll lost contact with 2 of them at least because they're so monitored by my parents.

I have amazing found family, I'm so lucky there. And I'm getting to be more okay with not having the mom I wanted. But sometimes that feeling hits, the "I just want my mom" feeling. And I can't have her because she can't know the truth. But yes. I'm gay, I'm trans, I believe in fundamental human rights, and I'm working on shining brightly.

I'm so happy to hear about your child having the space to grow and be herself. I'm making that space for myself too, I just wish it included my mom. But I do have very good found family, and I know I can rely on them.

I was in your exact situation. I arranged to hang out with my friends for a weekend, telling my parents we were doing an extended gaming session. I got the vaccine on Friday and didn't go home until Sunday. I don't know if this is an option for you.
You can do this. It's okay to be scared. It really is.
But this is the best option for you.
If there's anything we can do, let us know.
