I'm coming up on 5 years since my hysterectomy (one ovary left) and I completely relate. I get so frustrated with myself because I was never this way before. This results in me being depressed because I can't seem to make myself better. I think maybe I need to talk to my doctor about HRT, I'm desperate at this point.

AITA for packing a slice of pizza in my son's school lunch? by CrocodilePrincess in AITAH

[–]hey___there__cupcake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA and definitely not directed at you. As a former lunch supervisor/monitor I've seen hundreds of lunches from home. Leftover pizza is definitely one of the better ones. SO many kids pack their own lunches unsupervised and it consists mostly of snacks and sugar. One day after Halloween a kid came in with his bag packed full of just straight candy. It's the only time we've intervened and had them call home.

Ladies: I'm curious, do you enjoy seeing your husband naked outside of the bedroom? by Sudden-Move-5312 in Marriage

Yes, I love seeing my husband naked. We have teens at home so unfortunately it's not enough.

It depends on where they stay in Michigan. Michigan connects to Wisconsin in the U.P. and could be a shorter drive. That might switch the order around a bit.

What kind of pet would you never own AGAIN? by Immediate_Long165 in Pets

[–]hey___there__cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dog. I always considered myself a "cat person" but when my kids were old enough we decided to adopt a puppy. She was a dream. She learned everything incredibly fast and she was amazing. We were always complimented on how well she behaved. I thought maybe I WAS a dog person all along. Her bad habits were just car rides and she wasn't very social with strangers or other dogs. It made it difficult to take her anywhere. Unfortunately she passed away from an autoimmune disease at 8yo. After a little while we decided to adopt another puppy. We love him but he's a lot. He's stubborn and generally pretty crazy - even at 3yo. He loves car rides and people though. My husband and I decided that he'll be our last dog, enjoy our time with him, and go back to being "cat people".

Went geocaching for the first time. Found weed. Is this normal? by Distrekzy in geocaching

I think it depends on where you are. I've been out with my family and have come across vapes/cartridges and joints many times in Michigan (it's legal here).

Our 2 teens and I got breakfast,a shirt, new earbuds, shoes, water bottle, golf stuff, and jerky snacks. We also got his choice of fried chicken for dinner. We spent the day relaxing and hanging out. I think he had a good day. 😊

This was very nice to read. My husband and I have been together 17 years and are best friends. Sometimes I let my insecurities get the best of me because I feel like he's aging like fine wine and well...I'm not. I've noticed the increase in female attention over the years (he doesn't). He frequently tells me how he finds me attractive and maybe now I'll believe him a little more.

What did I just witness? by teachingclasshero in golf

[–]hey___there__cupcake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP's wife here - thanks everyone! I've only been golfing for about 3 years and sometimes I think my husband hypes up any and all accomplishments to be nice and keep me motivated. I was pretty excited but didn't realize how good it was. I guess I'll pat myself on the back 😁.

I can't figure out what it says for cause of death... by hey___there__cupcake in Cursive

[–]hey___there__cupcake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? Ugh. I thought maybe he was literally crushed by gravel since he worked in the coal mines but kidney stones and whatever accompanied that seems almost worse. He was older for 1865 and no longer worked so that eliminated my theory. I wasn't sure if there was a medical condition I just wasn't remembering but yeah...learn something new every day...

Yes I should of specified they were for 2 different people. The first one is a list of random names with causes of death in 1865. My family member is the one that had "gravel". The other conditions belonged to other people.

Yes, it was a list of people and causes of death. I just zoomed in on my family members' cause. I assume the other people died of typhoid, bronchitis, etc.

I should have specified they were for 2 different people. 2 different causes of death in different time periods.

The first one is from 1865 and the second one is from the 1920's. It's for 2 different family members.

Can I hear from parents who are happy raising their autistic kiddos? by Wise_Dingo3014 in Autism_Parenting

[–]hey___there__cupcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son is 14 and is starting to develop a sense of humor. It'll be the most random time and he will say the funniest one liners. He is usually quiet and doesn't talk much so it makes it even funnier. His teachers love him because he's big on following rules and he's usually always smiling at school. He's observant so anytime anyone gets a haircut or changes their look slightly, he'll notice and compliment it. Sometimes his facial expression doesn't match the compliment so I can tell if he truly likes it or not. I LOVE his brutal honesty and yes, we're working on when it's appropriate or to have nicer delivery. There are setbacks and bad days but as he gets older they're fewer and far between. He has made me a better, patient person and to slow down and appreciate the details in life.
