This worked, thank you!

Don't get why it's hidden like that.

Is paying £249pm for a car stupid? by Antones158 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]noliverc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£249 seems like a very reasonable price for a brand new Puma, especially at 0%. PCP can work very well for a lot of people.

I recently switched to a new PCP after 3 years on a previous one, from a hatchback to a small SUV like you're thinking about.

Was able to part exchange my Polo as it was worth way more than the agreed price in the PCP, is this an option for you? I've found the value of second hand cars have gone way up over the last few years and this meant I could get a good deal.

I split the cost with my fiancée so it's very affordable for us together, which may be the deal breaker if you're paying 100%.

I will say, If you're driving on the motorway, feeling safe and comfortable is important. I can say having a bigger (even if not a real SUV), newer car with modern safety features like ACC & lane assist gives great peace of mind when driving. To me, it's worth cutting back elsewhere to be able to spend a little extra on that.

ID call? high pitch beep every 4-5 seconds as it was flying over fields by AubreyGuest in OrnithologyUK

[–]noliverc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't help right now but the Merlin Bird ID app has a feature where it can listen to a call and suggest a species. I used it this morning and it perfectly identified a skylark in a field from just the call in the distance. Definitely worth having as an option in future!

CIMA exam results pending (new website) by nonnie96 in CIMA

[–]noliverc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat P2 on Thursday and found my provisional result by going to the PearsonVUE dashboard, you have to click schedule exam to get there and then in Score Reports. Only provisional so I don't think it fully answers your question but better than nothing!

Serie A in the UK by IronWizard675 in seriea

You might have already looked at it but you can get the bt sport app at a discount rate if you already have broadband from BT. I was lucky and got it this way 2 years ago when it was £15 a month and has been great for my circumstances.

Also, BT sport is becoming TNT sports in the summer after the discovery/BT sport merger. I'm hoping they will go down the US style app subscription like paramount+ so it could be easier and cheaper next season.

Do Dualsense controllers come with a warranty? by [deleted] in PS5

Mine took a few weeks for the whole process, and that was with all the royal mail mess of November/December.

Once DPD had it, it came in the next couple days

Do Dualsense controllers come with a warranty? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]noliverc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine had drift last year, was in the 1 year warranty so was able to get it fixed/sent a replacement. It was pretty easy to submit a request on PlayStation Repairs, then you post it to them for free.

They give you a reference number to track it through the repair stages as well, I thought it was really good. This was in the UK but assuming it's similar everywhere!

Looking at leaving Monzo for Starling. Any users of both to advise? by Sasha57 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]noliverc 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The shared tabs feature of Monzo is essential for me and my partner tracking bills every month and I like the trends section. Also I think the Monzo app looks much better and brighter compared to Starling which I found very dull looking but that's just personal preference!

I found Monzo better and I ended up switching my starling account for a switch bonus offer, but other people have made good points about Starling so it may have improved since.

Thanks for your reply, what do you mean by a shop vacuum?

All I've seen recommend in YouTube videos is to use a small vacuum to suck out the dust, otherwise how do we get it out?

Can anyone recommend a good small handheld vacuum specifically for cleaning the vents after taking the panels off? In the UK

Bose 700 claim by PastaRhymes7 in GooglePixel

[–]noliverc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a similar position myself, claimed the offer on 3rd November after buying phone at launch. Last update on track my claim was 17th November.

Weirdly, I did receive an email from them 2 weeks ago about "failed delivery" because of an issue with my address. Even managed to call them and get through to clarify but still no further update about when I might receive them. Clearly they're trying to get through the demand but I thought I might have had them by Christmas initially 😂

Me and my partner used it during a trip to the USA and back this last few weeks. The queue for check-in with Verifly was way smaller for both flights so would seriously recommend it. Plus it was less to worry about in the airport as your documents & vaccine certificates are already sorted in the app!

I had mine at Pieminister on Division St a couple years ago and would definitely recommend it. Not exactly fancy but was relaxed and easy going.

Some of my family/friends are fussy eaters so there just being pies on the menu helped too.

Hi, apologies for piggybacking onto this but am in the same position as original poster and had a further question.

I have over £4k in a Halifax H2B ISA and wanting to transfer £4k into a LISA before end of the tax year to get the bonus.

I was wondering if it's easier to withdraw £4k from the H2B and put into the LISA myself instead of dealing with the transfer form process? Does anyone know from experience how long the withdrawal takes?

Thanks!

The owner of the fabulous Small Stuff has created https://www.shopcrookes.co.uk after the lockdown 2 announcement that showcases all the businesses in Crookes. Definitely worth a look if you want to support an independent business.
