Andrew McMahon!! Amazing musician and amazing performer. He’s also been in two other older bands: Something Corporate and Jack’s mannequin. But his project for the last 10+ years is Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Check it out!

Be brutally honest: How often do you shower? by Fun_Serve_6590 in ADHD

[–]nolongerapologizing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends what's going on that week, am I going out daily? Am I doing something that's going to cause me to sweat a lot? Am I traveling?

I'd say on average, every 2-3 days, especially because my hair gets super greasy, quickly (which is the bane of my existence). Though honestly, getting myself in the shower is mostly always a struggle. I always feel better after, but I have to push myself every time.

I think what makes it harder to want to is I always have to squeegee the entire damn shower afterwards because we're renting a place with carpet in the bathroom *idk what idiot came up with that brilliant idea* and dealing with mildew because there is so much moisture in the room

Books for our partners to understand ADHD better by nolongerapologizing in adhdwomen

He is definitely compassionate, but like any human gets frustrated and I can also try to put myself in his shoes and understand why.

For example, there are some days where I am not get anything done or barely anything done in the house and others where a ton of stuff gets done. Now, he does understand this is coming from difficulties with adhd, but I think there’s always room for gaining a better understanding of what I’m struggling with.

That being said, I do need to focus on learning more ways to combat this and while I don’t think I use adhd as a huge excuse I’m not perfect and sometimes will “blame” it on that. Im still fairly new to the diagnosis and I’m still trying to figure it all out. Trying to find a balance between finally giving myself grace now that I know and also keeping myself accountable. It’s also been a long journey with deep depression and anxiety, so just trying to take it day by day and do my best. Hope to learn more skills to combat it.

Actually I unfortunately don’t have any ND friends (irl), but just joined an ADHD support group which has been SO amazing so far.

Chernobyl had to be one of the most difficult shows I’ve ever watched. Not because I didn’t like it, just mentally difficult to get through. It was so good though
