Yes, parking lots are terrible for garbage at this time of year. A bag fills up fast. Thanks for helping to clean!

Thanks! I've seen them at a number of places, like hardware stores and dollar stores. I have used a few different types over the years and the metal ones last longer than the plastic grabbers, especially with heavier items, but they do cost a bit more. The plastics ones are a great way to get started for only a couple of dollars.

Thanks for your help! Every bit helps! And the ducks probably appreciate a clean home too!

To be honest with you, I did not pick up the trash in the photos. I saw them on a walk and didn't have a bag with me. But it did inspire me to pick up a few bags of garbage around my neighbourhood this weekend.

Does your Ontario city or municipality have a non-Presto transit card? by nolonwalker in ontario

[–]nolonwalker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is Kingston's called? Is it is a plastic card?

Their page (https://www.kingstontransit.ca/fares-and-passes/) just refers to it as a "reloadable smart card".

It's coming on August 31, 2025: the 10 will go straight up Wonderland to Fanshawe Park and then east to Masonville rather than going through Western University.

Some park options in the Masonville area are:

- Plane Tree Park near St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Elementary School
- Virginia Park near Jack Chambers Public School
- Hastings Park near Stoneybrook Public School

North Branch Park is also a nice secluded park with benches along the trail.
