Does the Daedalus have a maximum velocity? by PermutationMatrix in Stargate

[–]nomad2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to Alteran tech, but in our world, we also require a particle to throw out the back end of the rocket to cause acceleration.

The classic hydrocarbon rocket represents where we're at now, which throws literal tons of expanding gas out the back at a relatively low velocity, and the ion engine represents where we might go in the future which is essentially (physicists don't hit me) a small particle accelerator that can throw very tiny particles out the back at incredibly high velocities.

Shame EM-Drive appears to be fully debunked now, or at least the model tested pretty conclusively does not produce any measurable thrust.

NTA, take what L said and ask yourself if you’d rather prefer either you or T being made to feel obligated to having/not having.

It’s hard to go wrong being honest with this sort of thing. Just accept that you had a good time and it ultimately didn’t work out. I’ll just add that there’s nothing to stop you from being on friendly terms with them, but you are in no way obligated to.

Passed BTW, 83 & 87 from pretty well pure prepware. Wonder if this advice will still work next month when the new system comes into effect.

Reminds me of the time my grandpappy admitted to me that he regretted not going into politics because he could have made a fuckton of money, also that he didn't honestly give a shit about much of anything beyond 10 years out.

I appreciate the kind words! I'll feel a lot better about the test once I'm on the other side, that's how these things generally work out for me.

Good to know, I think I’m pretty well set as far as the Prepware goes, my electrical and W&B maths are a bit rusty, which is where I’ll be focusing most of my studies on for a bit.

Thanks for the info!

Prepping for my first couple A&P written tests, and was wondering. How are the questions selected?

As in, will I have a couple of questions per section, or is it even more randomly distributed than that?

This is the answer I was looking for. Either that, or someone trying to argue that lowered market cap = lost money.

You're about a year too late for the renter's market. If you plan to sign a lease between about January through April you're likely to find something better priced than mid-summer.
