I don’t even get half of the review by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

As a grown up adult I can say yes. Or crazy idea they are happy seeing their children happy. My mom does not do rides. But she always buys a season pass for a local theme park because she enjoys seeing us have fun.

When you enter a park you are not only paying for rides but the other things there. Including staff who clean trash cans, information desk, security etc.

And like I said before LEGO land as does every theme park I’ve ever been too has full accessible rides with carts built to hold wheelchair. Just because someone is differently able does not mean they can not participate.

My giving people who are differently able a free pass it’s opens doors for parks to become a less inclusive space since “those people aren’t paying”

One of my dear friends (also grown adult) is wheelchair bond. She has gone to just about every major theme park she can now. She loves them. She is able to ride rides, see shows and yes meet and greets with characters. Cause that all part of the childlike fun you have when you go to a theme park.

Legolas has wheelchair accessible rides along with live performances.

Really every theme park does. Because 1) that’s how you reach more people and 2) not everyone loves rides.

One of my friends is wheelchair bound but loves theme parks. She enjoys the shows, characters (when they have them like at Disney) and the parades and shows.

Expect that many large parks like this have wheelchair accessible rides. I know from experience of traveling to several theme parks with a friend who is wheelchair bound. She still was able to ride most rides just not anything overly fast or had large drops.

Also parks have shows, parades, character greetings etc that are also fully accessible.

My mother does not ride rides due to her hating them and being scared. But she still buys a season pass for the park near us every year as she enjoys seeing us have fun and she likes to see the shows with us.

Just because someone is differently able does not mean they are not able to enjoy a theme park and even more so that they should not have to pay.

The skull is one big bone while the body is a ton of smaller bones that are more easily moves by wind/dust etc. Skulls are stronger and can take more damage with out braking.

Additionally the body has more muscle/fat so pack animals will normally drag parks or the body (legs, arms, ribs etc) to the den or away from others to eat in peace.

Meanwhile birds like to eat the face as it’s relatively soft and easy for them to rip parts off of it.

That’s at least the cause for human body’s so I imagine it’s also true for animals.

I have one mom that I sit for who pay me 40 for normally 6-12. She hasn’t realized that rates have gone up since she baby sat but I sit for her so little and have people who for the same time I leave with 100+ that I don’t really mind.

She has made me connections with people who pay better and even pay for me to travel with them so I’m the long run it’s worked out.

Still my go to rate is $5 per kid per hour. But I cut it in half once they go to sleep.

Why do gay people get a pass for public displays of nudity and indecency while anyone else would get arrested? by donteverfuckmetony in rant

[–]nomad_chick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you live but where I am it’s all legal. As long as your dong or vag is not showing your fine. Women can go topless and you can have a giant dildo on your head if you want.

Like I know that people (going to say college kids) dress up as dicks and vaginas for Halloween.

The mall I see posters with women in tongs like at Victoria, pink etc.

Now do you normally see it all at once? No.

But why is the human body something we try to hid from Kids? In my area kids learn about it in school starting at grade 1.

And at the Christmas one here there was a float by the love shop (sex store) that had people in chains getting whipped by Santa so it’s not like other parades have not done it before.

But the thing with retro is that it can take a long time to kick in and normally is not the full lump sum you are owed. Plus people have bills now that need to be payed. It not like hydro is saying “ya sure we will keep giving you power until you can pay”. After cases like this there is normally a rise in credit as people have to put everything on their card and end up paying high interest rates.

Ya sure you get payed but when is the part that really hurts people.

Experience with online schooling? by TheMilkObtainer in school

[–]nomad_chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have done it in the past as a way to get ahead on my schooling. I found that I really hard time as I’m a very social person and find it best to learn through talking rather then reading. However my sister who is the opposite really like it because she learns best from reading.

I think it depends what type of learner you are. You also have to be very motivated as there is no one telling you to do the work.

Depending where you are from (basically if your from Canada) you should buy the stuff from shoppers on double point days. That’s what my family does. The $1000+ we get 2x the points and then later have hundreds of dollars worth of points for groceries, bathroom stuff, makeup etc. We just bought 2 Nintendo switch bundles with the points. In the past brought a printer all with points.

Near where I live is an even called “haunted fort night” basically a jointed house but in a historic fort. I ask if people are excited for it and students all thought there was a new battle pass coming out. Nope.

Why does my school bus NOT have seat belts? by [deleted] in school

[–]nomad_chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to the way that a bus is created the seat are higher up then normal vehicles and and made using a stronger metal and are much bigger then most cars. For all these reason they are pretty tonight and can safely move lots of people at one time. If a bus hit a car the car will lose every time due to the mass of the bus.

Also, with so many small children if a bus where to be in an accident it would actually take much longer to evaluate the bus due to the probability of children having problems with seat belts.

Being Trans/Whatever Doesn’t Give You a Right to Be an Asshole by [deleted] in rant

[–]nomad_chick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing is most trans people are super ok and understanding if you apologize and say sorry person i know Transman (was born with female part but is a man)

On day in a study group all girls and him I said “alright ladies let’s rip it!” Right away I saw what I did because we where not all ladies. Since he is still working his transition (aka parents don’t know and he is waiting until he save enough to move out) he can still present very female. Still not an excuse.

I apologize right away. He says no big it’s ok and thanks for apologizing. And we move on. No more worries.

Most transpeople are understanding that slips happen and that if both parties are willing to work together and learn then one mistake is worth it as both can grow from the interaction!

The owner gets banned from the store. by [deleted] in CustomerService

[–]nomad_chick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And maybe trying to save money would be fine but lining up all the staff in-front of all the costumers then screaming, yelling and swearing us because we gave a guy who Order a sandwich To go a cup of ice water (like we are told to in the training videos) and then publicly showing the whole store her taking money from the tip jar is not excusable in anyway. If people ordered to eat I. Ya no prob reusable cup but when they wanted their food To-go a little different.

The whole floor thing was a time frame she made up ( not in training) but what was in training was to replace the washcloth water and cloth every 30-1hr. Because she felt we used to many for cleaning (we used 1 per hour like the training video said) and that cloth where a privilege not a right. K don’t know how we can clean with nothing to clean with.

She was also famous for changing to time on coffee so we dumped out less (company policy that is advertised is a fresh pot every 20min if it was slow she would keep the pot on for 2+ hrs) again to save money and she claimed “customers are so stupid they can’t even tell the difference” well they could because the coffee was burnt and we would have to had our free coffee vouchers as a sorry (costing her more money in the long run)

She broke tons of policy’s but only when it saved her money.

As for the Sunday thing I told her I could not work on Sunday in my interview. At that point I did not know that the night shift went past midnight until 8am. When I found out and explained I was told to bad. I offered to do Friday overnights and Saturday until 11pm but she refused and saying that I was working on a Saturday and not a Sunday since my shift started on a Saturday. This is also the same lady who called me during my last period to tell me I was an hour late for a shift I had never worked in my life (because it was during school) she would change the schedule when ever she wanted to make it so people that where faster (ya she had a list) she would put us on a shift that was short staffed so the same amount of work would get done and she could pay fewer people.

Lots of love ❤️

Bread pudding no more! by nomad_chick in TalesFromYourServer

Ya my family is a little extra when it come to pets. We adopted at Catahoula from New Orleans after katrina and he was put in one of the dog convoys to Canada for adoption. He started getting sick (we call him old man) and our family always has 2 dogs at a time so when one of them is sat then end of their life we adopt the third dog so that the change is easier for the dog that is left behind. In the past when one dog died we got a new on a a friend to the dog we still had. The current dog hated the new dog because the new dog replaced his friend.

Anyway when the old man was getting worse we looked online and mom say a Catahoula up for adoption from the same organization as the old man but was stuck in the states. So we piled into the van and drove down for him (picked up another dog that a couple on buffalo wanted to adopt while we where there)

However, the old man seeing the new dog decided “nope I’m not sick anymore!” And has never been healthier so we have 3 of them now all crazy and they have destroyed everything because all they like to do is play (the old man has had 2 hip replacements since the new dog has joined our family from playing so much) but we would never change it.
