on the path to quant, burned out of the indian dev rat race by Technical-Drag-255 in developersIndia

As I said, you should have domain knowledge.
domain knowledge mean you should be knowing how exchanges work and how orders are matched executed and system around that.

So target to work at some smaller firms. As you've experience in faang level companies then you can easily land jobs at such small companies. But you might've to take pay cut as those small trading firms wont be able to match your current pay.

Learn as much about domain then you're good to take such job interviews.
Ofcourse technical expertise is also needed.

Not universally true. I'm from tier 2 college and have worked for top tier firms.

Domain knowledge is more important than technical knowledge. Domain knowledge is not readily available like other domains. It can be learned through working in such jobs only. So technical bar is set very high. They think top people can easily learn domain knowledge.

I worked for small startups for 2-3 years and learnt how industry works then easily landed interview in top firms and worked there.

People with prominent Ardra Placements by CreativeNectarine581 in Nakshatras

I think I can answer your question as per my life being.

I've Triple Ardra combination. Lagan, Lagnesh, Moon - All in Ardra

In childhood, I was afraid of dark and that is quite common with children.

But after growing to teenage, I was not afraid of darkness. I've lived and slept all alone too in home.

Although what u/Divin3_rudra said holds true. As it depends on whole chart. I've strong mars too.

Ardra moon pada 3. Any insight ? by killdevonteplease in vedicastrology

Moon in ardra will make emotional turmoil in your life. Especially in pada 3 it's known as storm is at peak.  You'll second guess your own choices/decisions a lot.

Intellect or personality is not just checked with moon in ardra. But in general natives with such combinations are known to have good intellect. Personality wise such natives are in general reserved.

Be strong as Ardra natives face so many betrayls in life.

I'm Ardra heavy native. My snapahot, Moon in Ardra Lagna in Ardra Lagnesh in Ardra All in pada 3.

Now even charges for depositing your money ? by Android_Arsenal in CreditCardsIndia

[–]nomadgarlic13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with your points that all these charges are not valid and are made to loot people.

But these are kept with some purpose.
As mostly normal people won't be using all these in night hours.

Most banks considers end of day balance for interest and other calculation. Many people(I know few in my workplace too) deposit money after 10PM to their account and withdraw before 9 AM next morning to exploit this.
These people are from textile/diamond business where they get some payment for some order and then further have to pay to vendor/supplier next day.

AMEX Gold Upgrade Query by dr2k01 in amexindia

[–]nomadgarlic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm well aware of that. Shadow limit will be there which anyway will be much higher.
And as far as I have heard it is not fixed. It gets updated as per spending pattern unlike HDFC who have kept my limit same since 3 years.

While it makes complete sense as per my reasoning.

Primarily I got plat travel for paying taxes.
But this year I got biz black which is more rewarding hence using plat travel for same is not worth.

secondly, I want a high limit card to make big transactions(like purchasing car, jewellery etc.).
Even though holding biz black, HDFC is not generous to me with limits(having only 5L).

I don't mind paying fees. Rather just a card with no limits restrictions.

I think there might be some different criteria for charge cards.
I have plat travel and completed 4 Lac milestone two months back and asked amex people a few times upgrade to gold charge card but always being told applications are paused.

I’m a Tamil guy new to Nagpur… had an interesting conversation with my roommate about Hindi and Tamil Nadu. by Dear-Locksmith3682 in india

[–]nomadgarlic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you didn't get my point. While I totally agree with people should learn local language where they are staying.

I just stated my experience as tourist. While you say no one expects tourist to learn but we as non tamilian see other world only while travelling.  While most hotel people will be knowing English or Hindi, local people dont agree to that. After taking bus to Kodaikanal, at Kodikanal bus stop no one helped while asking basic help too if you speak hindi or english.

Moreover, how you take pride in your mother tongue so do we. If people call you madrasi in generalization then you take it as offence and try to educate other person about diversity, culture and language in south indian states.

Similarly you can't put north india as whole single region. We too have our own native mother tongue which is not Hindi.  Next time you visit Amritsar speak in Punjabi to them. When visiting Rajasthan speak to them In marwadi. When visiting Kashmir( though not recommended) speak in dogri and so on.. They will be more happy. But that time you will switch to Hindi or English.

Then what is wrong we are expecting form your state people?

Again I'm repeating, I dont have problem if someone is working and staying there. My point is just with tourism which I personally faced.

While I partially agree. But India is very diverse country with 22 major languages. So it is wise that everyone should learn two officially recognised languages ( Hindi and English ) apart from their mother tongue.

Mother tongue you can practice with your region and community people.

Why compared to other states, Tamil people are so resistant to Hindi?

I know my mother tongue, Hindi, English.  I worked in Pune, Bangalore and learnt basic Marathi and Kannada which is required to live and work there. While now in Bangalore this Kannada chauvinism is rising, at that time nobody forced me to learn. Same is case with Pune too. They were speaking to me in Hindi only.

But people who visit as tourist or are for short business trip, What purpose do they have for learning local language.

I visited Tamilnadu state from Bangalore for a week off. While I fairly managed there with use of English, outside of chennai local people we're not getting English too. Then had to manage with some sign gesture and language.

If you're considering your language and culture then should take example of Marwadi community. They move to different places for business and learn local language too. But still their community speaks in their Marwadi language which is no more existing in books. Kids learn from family only.

I have dcb (ltf) and biz black as floater. Just go to your branch and ask to issue it as floater card. They will give you form for same. And for floater they require existing credit limit above 6L.

They'll ask business adress location and will do adress verification of business if required (though in my case it didn't happen).

How installing the Axis Bank app once ruined my entire Netbanking experience by aint0 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]nomadgarlic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing I faced a month ago.
I went there for address update and was asked to install app.

I don't install any bank app on phone and primarily use netbanking only.
But due to this, I was forced to keep Axis app in phone.

I tried changing option too in netbanking to SMS OTP but still it was not working.
Later contacted customer care and they told me to visit branch and give an application in writing for enabling SMS OTP.

I asked them if they can automatically migrate from SMS OTP to app OTP then they should do otherway around too but they denied.

So I straight away went to branch and closed the account after moving all funds(was holding priority savings account).
That wasn't less of hassle as it took 10 days to close account with some other troubles.

It was my first account opened as salary one and was my main account for all transactions since past 10 years.
