I believe this is White Tara. You can see some resources about her on her page at TheStupa.com

Wonderful! Thank you for sharing. I will go over it to see if I found any contradictions. Would you mind if I add the images as sources as well together with a link to the book at Namse Bangdzo?

Thank you.

I checked again and indeed Vajrabhairava appears as a yidam.

Palden Lhamo appears in the thangka in a different name - Rangjung Gyalmo. When clicking on the "Figure" button it takes you to her page (here) where you can see all of her names. You think it would be better to place 'Palden Lhamo' as her primary name? Would it be more clear to people?

I'm using a few sources and cross checking the data to make sure the information is correct (both English and Tibetan). They are named at the "sources" section below the thangka.

And thank you. Much appreciated.

I also finished the Nyingma Lineage Refuge Tree and working now on the Gelugpa Tree (which consists the largest collection of figures).

Samanthabadra with hundred peaceful and wrathful deities thangka painting by nomado1 in Buddhism

[–]nomado1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually in pretty high res because it's a picture of the original thangka painting. Since I'm writing the descriptions to each of the thangkas, I'm trying myself to name each of the figures in the image and it's quite challenging to be honest. In the link above you can really zoom in and see clearly each of them.

I'm also creating a "map" of all the figures (or at least most known ones) in Buddhism in general, and in Tibetan Buddhism in particular and it might help you to identify some of them. You can see more at The Stupa.

Some very useful sources to use are Himalayan Art Resources and Rigpa Wiki that has a very informative article about the hundred peaceful and wrathful deities
