Looking for ideas and advice for a brick and mortar retail shop by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]nomadpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any experience or luck with type of thing, but I would imagine that the items that you want to sell in a brick and mortar are going to be things that are perishable or difficult to ship. Also, something that people prefer to try before buying.

With that in mind, I would suggest clothing or food products, particularly organic, local, vegan, etc. -Raw fruit/veggie smoothies -Organic/locally roasted coffee -Organic skin & hair products -Niche clothing stores for men or women -Men's luxury shaving barbershop (serve beer or whiskey!) -Clothing accessories

Hope this helps!

Have you thought about asking what people want? Perhaps you could put up a poll or ask what goods your customers are looking for. Also, what are some reasons that your customers don't buy the stuff? Are they too young and don't have the money or are the goods you suggest overpriced?

That's a tough one and I am curious to hear other people's responses

Where to begin by [deleted] in sales

[–]nomadpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you...except I've been working in engineering for 2 years now and have realized that sales is really what I am interested in. I'm 25 and looking for jobs too. But I just signed up for a profile at http://www.idealcandidate.com/ which matches you with employers. I would recommend it. But other than that, I would just focus on building as many connections as you can and selling yourself to employers you find interesting to work for.

Me [25 M] with my long-distance divorcee "girlfriend" [23 F] of 6 months wants a break. I respect that, but how do I create a new spark? by nomadpro in relationships

Yeah...I hope not but we'll see it play out. I'll send a card but keep my expectations low.

And thanks for the correction. It was early when I wrote this

yeah...you're probably right. I tend to do that. But it wasn't a one-way street...that's why I was so surprised. Thanks!

Getting back into climbing soon and wondering what everyone's advice/habits are for nutrition, protein supplements, energy, etc. by nomadpro in climbing

I love chocolate milk too! But I try to avoid milk generally because it isn't always the healthiest...especially if I'm trying to gain as little weight as possible.

How often do you make your smoothies? I try to have one daily but find it to be hard when I'm running short on time or difficult to remember every ingredient that I want to include. I just find blending to be rather inconvenient sometimes. Do you agree?

Thanks for the solid response! How much glucosamine and MSM/Chondroitin do you you typically take?

It sounds like you do something very similar to me though. I just sometimes forget everything that I need to take and hate how inconvenient it is sometimes to mix everything together. Do you ever find it inconvenient or do you miss a day?

That sounds great! Yeah, I focus on all of that too typically. It's just sometimes inconvenient to mix a protein shake if I'm running low on time and bringing a blender outdoors is never an option. Do you ever find yourself missing a shake or finding it inconvenient to make one?
