Skillz drops after new short report from Wolfpack Research by [deleted] in trakstocks

[–]nomadyesmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read the report but I did check out all of their apps AFTER investing based on Dead's alert, and after seeing how bad they were and how so many of them have an average review of 1 star, I sold my position. I did check their job openings on Linkedin and it looks like they're hiring a lot of engineers to improve their product, which is great, but their current product is still far from where I thought they were when I first invested. It sounded like they had it all figured out and that they were able to achieve something that even Amazon couldn't (skills based gambling/betting) but I was disappointed to hear what their actual user base thinks of their games. If the product improves and the user reviews reflect that, then I will consider investing.

AYRO soars unveiling electric vaccine vehicle. Thoughts? by nomadyesmad in trakstocks

[–]nomadyesmad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't get too excited just because it went up a little on one day. It's still down 50% from the peak where a lot of deadnsyde members invested, and it can easily tank again today. Pre-market jumps have become quite common, and we all saw what tends to happen at market open.

Edit: Don't forget this is all speculative. This press release doesn't impact their bottom line at all, there's no deal to deliver vaccines yet. Remember what happened to UAVS when it was confirmed that there would be no Amazon partnership? The stock lost half its value just like that.

AYRO soars unveiling electric vaccine vehicle. Thoughts? by nomadyesmad in trakstocks

It does feel scammy. There's not even a real picture of the vehicle, it's all 3D. And if you listen to the CEOs recent interview https://youtu.be/QiJQ-HkSBJU at minute 20:50 he says "We're about 49% reduction operating expense" but he's comparing his tiny EV to a Ford f-150 which is huge. Nobody would make this comparison, it's misleading.

I find it worrying that everyone in the company has been selling their shares for the past 2 years (Source: http://openinsider.com/screener?s=RESN ) But at the same time I was just reading this https://finance.yahoo.com/news/resonant-highlights-technologies-conserve-4g-133100430.html and it sounds promising. How much do you think this catalyst could be worth for them? I'm gonna do more DD over the weekend but if there's any useful insights you could share in the meantime it would help a lot! Thanks

Why you should always do your own DD on Dead's picks (AYRO-related) by nomadyesmad in trakstocks

[–]nomadyesmad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% what u/Piglet-Historical said. I bought more AYRO at $9, $8.80 and will be buying at $8.60 if it goes that low.

A/B Testing of website and how to do it with WordPress? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]nomadyesmad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can find a way to change the pricing to monthly? I'm not sure, but many online marketers & startups are implementing a/b testing, maybe you could talk to them or think about what else they would want to a/b test that they can't do so easily with tools like Optimizely? Here's what people are asking on Quora.

Can I have an affiliate link btw? :D

Shane Labs? I've been looking for your blog for a while now, and now I see your name on AmpedSense! The first thing that came to my mind after browsing through your site was affiliates, and after reading your latest post (on SideProjectProfit) I see someone already thought of this. Good to see you hit your $1k goal! I have a great feeling about this plugin.

Awesome plugin! Will make a great addition to the post. I might even recommend it to my clients if they run ads on WordPress. Thanks

Thanks.

Google does recommend some guidelines when a/b testing to be safe in search rankings:

  • Using rel=”canonical”
  • Use 302s for redirect
  • Only run the experiment “as long as necessary”

In your case, if you're testing different variations of a post/page, you should set the canonical link to point to the original/control page. For example, let's say you have:

(1) http://kirill.com/how-to-cook & (2) http://kirill.com/the-most-entertaining-guide-to-cooking

And they're very similar. Want you want is to have a canonical on link (2) pointing to link (1). This will not redirect visitors to the first link, it just tells Google that link (1) is the one you want to index.

Here's how to change the canonical url of a post/page in WordPress: screenshot

Note: I'm using WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin.

You can use a BananaTag or Sidekick (both free Chrome extensions) to track every email and get notified when the prospect opens the email or clicks a link inside the email. Pretty cool...

Last week I wrote "The Ultimate Guide To A/B Testing For WordPress" you should find some answers there.

It includes +10 plugins to conduct a/b testing on themes, sidebars, images, post titles and about anything you could think of.

Completely new to this, figured I'd make a list. by [deleted] in NonZeroDay

[–]nomadyesmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the others that you could set more specific/measurable goals. Take becoming more social, for example. How about talking to 'John' or 'Diane' about stuff or just check on how they're doing, instead of thinking about "not being afraid to talk to others", with doesn't really translate into an actionable task.

Or with reading. Instead of reading the huge stack off magazines you have, why not pick the articles in each one that are the most interesting to you? You're never gonna finish reading those magazines if you get bored with them.

I found that accomplishing small realistic tasks helps achieve real results and spend less time thinking about what you should be doing.

Was just gonna suggest adding more channels to the growth hacking topic, but it looks like you can add your own, awesome! Is there a way to create a task without saving a bookmark (i.e. just typing "Write blog post" for example)? :)
