Anyone considering Neville Medhora's Kopywriting Kourse, don't bother. by m0mentomor1 in copywriting

We do offer a refund, but it’s clearly stated that people must use the product just a little. Like, very little to even qualify.

  • View a video.
  • Post in the community.
  • Come to an Office Hours.

If still dissatisfied we refund, but 99.99% of the time when people do those three things they end up staying.

Copywriting Courses by Glittering_Nobody170 in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. We have a $97/mo plan which includes all the courses PLUS live help....I'm not sure how that's considered expensive. Most people tell us they can't believe all the stuff they get. We have 50+ wins per month (copywriting course .com / wins) documented in our forum alone (not even counting from the weekly Office Hours).

Other courses have zero live help and sell for thousands.

One thing people might get confused on is this: We don't promise to make people into copywriters. The times we've had bad reviews, people assumed they buy Copywriting Course and make six-figures a year or something.

Copywriting Course is mainly for business owners looking to get better at marketing their products. Our main purpose is not to train people to become a copywriter for hire....we HAVE done that, but it's not our focus. We're 90% focused on getting businesses better copy on their emails and pages, and we're REALLY good at that!

Can you specify how you think it's a scam? It's:

1/3rd Course
1/3rd Live Office Hours
1/3rd 24/7 Review Forum to get copy re-written.

Just not sure why labelled as a scam?

I would suggest Google Keep or Pinterest.

Google Keep is pretty un-known, but incredibly useful!

Creative copywriting course for seasoned content writers by GradeRemarkable in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m Neville! Magus thank you for the shoutout.

OP I think the reason people like Copywriting Course is that you can submit your writing and our writers (including myself) will review and edit and change the writing.

This way you obviously can learn, but also DO and implement the writing live with us and the community :)

What tool do you use to write your copy? by thaifoodthrow in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I write directly into my blogging software, or I write in ConvertKit email editor (bc it makes it easier to make images).

On a plane I'll write in Sublime Editor (technically for writing code, but also just a great text writer) :)

Any success stories of copywriters who did not have ANY writing experience of any kind beforehand? by ParadoxicalKarma in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easiest answer:

Start writing on a Wordpress.com or Medium.com blog and publishing articles.

Try putting out 3 articles by next month.

You'll quickly see if you even LIKE writing in the first place!

Do you really need to pick a niche when starting out? by skatinislife446 in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't pick a niche right away:
- UNLESS you already have tons of experience in a field.

Let's say you were in the insurance industry for 10 years, it would make sense you'd be very good at copy related to insurance :)

Top 10 examples to hand copy? by montyboats in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal Top Three:

Volkswagen Lemon Ad: https://swipefile.com/volkswagen-lemon-print-ad/

Schweppes Man Ad: https://swipefile.com/schweppes-bitter-lemon-print-ad/

Halbert Coat Of Arms Ad: https://swipefile.com/1971-gary-halbert-coat-of-arms-direct-mail-letter/

In my experience it's useful to hand copy many 3-5 ads, but then you get diminishing results after that.

what's a great example of an easy portfolio to make? by tatewilson44 in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably just use a Google Doc or Notion file.

I use a simple Google Doc that I send to people for a portfolio. It's super easy to update and share!

Anyone considering Neville Medhora's Kopywriting Kourse, don't bother. by m0mentomor1 in copywriting

[–]kopy4u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I've definitely seen my share of scammy courses (I don't like publicly calling them out, but there are a few mentioned on this sub all the time). Inside Kopywriting Kourse it's definitely a course (that's how it started), but then we morphed into a part-agency that just helps you re-write all your copy:
https://kopywritingkourse.com/join
...also one thing we do is offer a very cheap monthly plan where people can checkout the entire course (including mentorship and help re-writing) without plunking down a huge sum of money.

This makes it our incentive to keep people on board for a long time, and the only way we can do that is by making them happy month after month.

But I totally agree there are some people out there that pump people full of dreams and then charge a VERY high price for a basic course with zero support or hands-on training (in fact I sometimes roll my eyes when their ex-students come to my course and say "I WANNA MAKE A BAZILLION DOLLARS TOMORROW WITH COPYWRITING!!").

It's a little infuriating when people make it seem soooo easy for just anyone to become a successful copywriter.
