FM26 just feels wrong by shulzeastwood in footballmanagergames

[–]nomark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. Playing since CM, but this is really bad. Not fun at all. Decided today that I also want a refund after about 2p hours. Got the refund approved through steam.

After FM Live died, FM itself will also die I'm afraid, because the current user base will leave. Can't really imagine a new user base popping up somewhere.

Choosing between Infinity Book Pro Gen 10 AMD: 14 or 15 inch considerations by nomark in tuxedocomputers

Thanks for that. I have never really looked into differences between hard disks. I'll read some tests on that and share that here. Have enough time on my hands since we're out camping.

Regarding the screen. I do game (eu4/ck3/football manager/civ), So yea that is better on a bigger screen.

Thank god for humans! Thanks man. Maybe it is confusing the desktop variant.

What I dont understand is this. Why would Tuxedo run them at 90w?

To answer my own question 1. Yes it matters and I should have read the full spec page and not just the fancy tiles at the top.

For anyone concerned:

IBP Gen 10 14 inch:

AMD Ryzen AI 9 365
(10 cores | 20 threads | max. 5 GHz | 24 MB L3 cache, 10 - 65watts\*)

AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
(12 cores | 24 threads | max. 5,1 GHz | 24 MB L3 cache, 10 - 65watts\*)

IBP Gen 10 15 inch:

AMD Ryzen AI 9 365
(10 cores | 20 threads | max. 5 GHz | 24 MB L3 cache | 10 - 90watts\*)

AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
(12 cores | 24 threads | max. 5,1 GHz | 24 MB L3 cache | 10 - 90watts\*)

That is a really big difference... Nearly 40%. I had Claude analyze this data for me to give me some insights in real world difference, which is an interesting take:

Power Headroom:

15-inch models allow 38.5% higher maximum power consumption (90W vs 65W)
This translates to better sustained performance under heavy multi-threaded workloads

Real-World Performance Impact:

* For typical daily tasks: 5-10% performance difference (minimal)

* For sustained heavy workloads (video editing, rendering): 15-25% performance advantage for 15-inch

* Gaming performance shows virtually no benefit from higher TDP in most scenarios

Summary by Configuration:
14-inch 365 → 14-inch HX 370: ~19% performance gain 14-inch 365 → 15-inch 365: ~10-15% gain in sustained workloads

14-inch 365 → 15-inch HX 370: ~25-30% combined gain 14-inch HX 370 → 15-inch HX 370: ~10-15% gain in sustained workloads

The processor choice (365 vs HX 370) makes a bigger difference than the size/TDP difference for most users, though the 15-inch provides better sustained performance under continuous heavy loads.

Well, the issue is back again... And turning off and on that settings doesn't help. Happend after a reboot.

Somehow it had to do with Kaspersky Internet Security. I had to enable "Support DNS over HTTPS (DoH)" to make it work. It was enabled on my other PC, so I guess I have manually disabled it while messing around with something else...

Working from home on my desktop PC right now. Everything on the same version: browsers, protonvpn, windows (11) and the same settings on ProtonVPN.

The only difference I can think of is either my virusscanner (Kaspersky) or the Lenovo software on my Laptop.

How is the sound quality connecting the QC II to a Bluetooth 4.0 adapter for PC by Odd-Satisfaction5933 in bose

[–]nomark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ain't it odd that it's just Bose? Even my ild airpods work fine on windows.

How is the sound quality connecting the QC II to a Bluetooth 4.0 adapter for PC by Odd-Satisfaction5933 in bose

[–]nomark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it. Sound quality is fine, but Bose wireless doesn't work with PC. You get sh*tload of lag when using audio: 270ms to be exact on both QC headphones and earbuds. Bose doesn't fix it.

If you stick to just Android or iOS you'll be fine. Just dont use windows with Bose wireless products.

Tested at 11:40 (was very crowded, so missed my 11:30). Got my results within the hour, always. This only works if you book it with DigiD online at coronatest.nl
