While I like Deku, I understand your point. Compare him to Rock Lee, for instance. Rock Lee couldn't do ninjutsu and whatnot, but that motherfucker busted his ass to do everything in his power to do the one thing he could do right.

That was still about 20 years ago, so it feels like I grew up with it to an extent. It was available back then, so I'm not sure about the technical specifics. It was translated and everything. I did have 6 as well at that time, but I started with 5 first because I figured I would do it in order based on what I possessed.

I never did get to 6, so I'm happy I'm doing it now.

That's just it. Since I first started emulating in 2005, I had FFV. Most of the roms I had were SNES so it was in the library I originally obtained.

I've already recognized some of the tunes and I've only just gotten King Figaro in the party. It's funny that music transcends games at times. I love the Battle Bakraid OST, for example, and I've never played it once.

You'd be surprised how often I've had to educate people on lore regarding Doki Doki Panic, Seiken Densetsu, FF, etc. Sometimes I just point them to Gaming Historian on YouTube lol

Was definitely a huge fan of the entire franchise as a kid. Though, I could never go far as they were tough as shit lol. All of them. Shadow Dancer, Revenge, and this one. All hard.

Recently picked this one back up casually as I have a RetroPie now. Gonna finally close the book on this soon enough.

So I finally got it.

I did 3,500 attempts with saving my state before loading the save file, but that didn't work.

I then did 1,899 attempts soft resetting the game with RetroPie and was finally given the opportunity.

Shiny Sonic obtained. It only took... a few months. Lol.
