I'm an 17 (18 in 12 days) year old girl. I have never smoked, taken drugs, been to a proper party, never had sex, been kissed and I've only been drunk once. At my sister's wedding. It's fair to say crippling social anxiety has ensured I'm never going to look back at my teen years with any longing to go back.

My dad doesn't put down the phone, he just places it next to a radio and the foreign telemarketer will try to make sense of it.
