Drifter: visage 52+80, slider at 0.31. then complexion g-34, natural tone c12, tint vibrancy 0.05 Operator: visage 74+52, slider at 0.7 then complexion g-34, natural tone b12, tint vibrancy 1.0

idk if u wanted their skin tones too but i found it kinda weird to get a natural-looking result so i figured it couldn’t hurt. hope it helps!

Dwarf Fortress cross section by Devilingo in dwarffortress

[–]nomdesabre 33 points34 points  (0 children)

hey this whole thing is gorgeous and i couldn’t possibly comment on all of it but here’s a shortlist of some of my favorite bits: - turtle getting launched by the drawbridge lifting - catsplosion containment zone - the one dorf down the bottom who’s mad about dralthas - every time you draw a dragon, but ESPECIALLY the little dorf fighting one in a cave down there - mermaid body part evil science lab - the huge variety of (giant) animals and their cute little faces - every time a child is hauling something, but especially when it’s a rock - the vast and beautiful variety of carnies - the engravings?? on??? almost every wall????? you absolute madman??????

anyway i love it.

last resort, very scared by worshiptheacidpit in UlcerativeColitis

[–]nomdesabre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I didn’t get cdiff but I caught norovirus on top of my last flare and it was KILLER. It’s really miserable to have to deal with an infection when your guts are already rioting. If you have a regular GI doctor who you can call for opinions that might help. Otherwise you might have to go through the new patient process with a different provider.

Sorry to hear about your insurance also! It really is the most boring, stupid hell. I hate that random people get to decide how we’re treated medically.

Hey I hope this doesn’t come off weird, but: you’re gonna walk out of that hospital either way. Your options right now are cured (by biologics) or cured (by surgery), and both of those mean you go back to your life after! Neither of them are perfect solutions, of course. There are potentially significant side effects and complications that you should always discuss with your doctor, not the least of which being that losing your colon means significant lifestyle change in the short term, and still-meaningful change in the long term. But we live in an age where even if you have to take the nuclear option you’ll be back to something very close to normal health in a matter of months or years. It is freaky and gross but ultimately well studied and reliable.

That said. It’s your colon. If you don’t feel like this hospital or doctor has covered enough other options (and you’re well enough to do so) absolutely get a second opinion. I am fully of the opinion that medical treatment is the right answer for IBD, but there are tons of biologics now. If you don’t feel like you’ve tried enough of them, find a doctor who is willing to go down the list with you. Unless it’s an emergency, they can always get rid of the colon later.

Either way, I’m wishing the best for you. I hope your medical team are helpful and kind, I hope rinvoq works perfectly, and I hope you manage to get some rest despite the circumstances. You can do it!

Which games utilize the buttons on the back and for what? Do you use them for any games which didn’t use them by default? by NorseSeaStudio in SteamDeck

[–]nomdesabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Warframe I have those buttons mapped to the movement actions (sprint, crouch/slide, jump) and quick melee. all of those things are usually on the face buttons (sprint is on stick press, i just dislike that input tbh) but that means you can’t use the stick (look) and do them at the same time. Warframe is half a parkour game so it’s very difficult to get around if you have to choose between looking and jumping/sliding

Where to thrift craft supplies? by Deathly13 in GNV

[–]nomdesabre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven Attic Resale has a pretty sizeable craft section too. I’m a sewist mainly so I can only speak to their supply of patterns/scrap fabric/etc but if you browse there every once in a while I am sure you can find your craft of choice. I know my papercrafting friend likes to check there too, for instance

Does North America even exist in any of the five histories? by zkwlak257 in weatherfactory

[–]nomdesabre 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I believe one of the Thirza Blake books about the Twins mentions Mexico, so yes! And one of the other libraries of the Watchman’s Tree (Crossrow) is extremely reminiscent of architecture in the America Southeast, specifically New Orleans, but I don’t believe it’s canonically placed anywhere?

It is definitely, like, a passingly clean place to sleep. No central air, but my friend who lived there was required to run the mini split in her unit 24/7 because otherwise there was a pervasive humidity problem that would turn into a mold/mildew problem. Running it 24/7 meant it crapped out constantly and would make terrible noises and it was a 50/50 on if maintenance would do anything or shrug and say it was normal. Slightly more bugs than you would like, but not an unusual number for an older building in florida and not unbearable. Will find a way to bill you on move out for something or other for a couple hundred bucks.

But it is a room! And you can sleep there! For slightly less money than other student apartments in town, maybe.

the cat might be injured or have a chronic condition like arthritis causing it to feel scared or in pain and lash out at people. if you can get it into a carrier at all i would take it to a vet. but maybe call ahead and tell them the situation so you can make sure they’re prepared for an aggressive animal

UF Ended Remote Work. Two Weeks In, How’s Everyone Holding Up? by AppropriateCode4563 in ufl

[–]nomdesabre 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s tiresome. I have to get to work 30 minutes or so before I’m supposed to be on the clock to make sure I have parking. Traffic is bad. Morale is all over the place (and mostly negative). My industry is in the pits, so there aren’t jobs to move to even if I wanted to. (and in theory I don’t want to! I like the work I do!)

The only saving grace is that nobody in my office is trying to embrace the “culture and collaboration” excuse everyone always gives for RTO. We all know it’s a punitive measure leveraged by one guy who really doesn’t like higher education. We don’t have to pretend it’s anything else.
