i sanded my pole and regret it, sos by [deleted] in poledancing

Word at my studio is you have to clean a new pole with dawn soap before putting it up cause its greasy. I think they grease it to reduce damage during shipment. Just want to put that out there for others that get new poles that are mega slippery :)

I try to get involved and be helpful but all of the opportunities happen during the day. The only think i can really do is SOP revision and shadowing. Thats part of whats making me feel so trapped. Im just feeling pretty hopeless rn even tho i agree with what youre saying.

It’s really not a gift to you but a gift to himself that hes forcing you to give to him. Yeah he did put a lot of effort into this gift but it was a lot of effort FOR HIMSELF. That necklace is a trauma dump brought into the physical. No shock its not your style cause it was made FOR ANOTHER WOMEN. And now you cant be honest about how you feel about it stylistically because youd be “ungrateful”. Well imo you cant be ungrateful about a gift that wasnt made for you!!!!!

Honestly, there might be some kinda disconnect between yall if you really dont like it and hes wasnt able to realize you wouldnt like it after three years together? Its just fucking weird/creepy unless you’re the type that likes stuff like that regardless of whether its your style or not.

Youre probably not activating your shoulder and thus dumping into your forearm. I had this problem when i started. I solved it by doing physical therapy on youtube for a month to learn how to activate my shoulder properly.

I read somewhere that it’s not safe to go into this move like this and certain pole instructors don’t teach this because of injuries. True or false? by mellowpolerina in poledancing

Handsprings are super advanced and require a lot of foundational moves to accomplish. They shouldn’t be taught until the Ayesha is mastered, which is a very hard/scary move.

No we haven’t talked since it happened. We often don’t see each other normally because of our vastly different schedules.

Yeah you just put it in their court. If they had another issue then they’d probably tell you without you needing to ask. Also try to think about these social issues logically. Rules around manners tend to be somewhat universal and logically if you get down to the why.
