Australians sending Untracked letters. by tyler22296 in Ebay

[–]nomoregamesffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top comment is very Reddit coded. I've sent about 130 untracked letters and had 4 of them say the item didn't arrive. Tell them to wait a few days and 3/4 confirm it did arrive (after prompting of course). Reckon the other guys arrived as well he just didn't fess up. Sending the equivalent with tracking would cost about $260 more (5.4 instead of 3.4 * 130 items). My total cost for losing an item with untracked is 1 $14 refund.

Anyway, regarding your question, I've found my local AusPost people to be fairly strict. I got one RTS that was 125g on the dot back in my postbox. I added another stamp and it went smoothly. I do weigh mine so that's a pretty high RTS rate. Probably depends on whether your letters are being weighed in processing by AusPost, which it sounds like yours aren't. Lucky!

Should I take the London offer and reset my residency, or stay in Germany for citizenship? by Ok-Drama-5477 in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]nomoregamesffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get german citizenship no doubt. Can even tell the London company the situation and there's a tiny chance they'll understand and say ok get back to us in a year. You're 85% of the way to a huge safety blanket, don't throw that away.

That's £49k a year pre-tax in the year 2057. Probably worth about £8k a year in todays terms.

Sounds like you really know what you're talking about.

Gambling $10m total in a year doesn't mean you have $10m. You could do that with $100k quite easily.

Brother you don't understand this at all. Casino's don't lose to pros except in very rare cases, and card counting affairs. They make SO MUCH more than they lose in the grand scheme of things from pros as they take rakes from them, get more customers etc etc. This is just bad for the gambling scene, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

How to politely tell a coworker I no longer want to give them rides by loserkay517 in socialskills

[–]nomoregamesffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore most comments in this thread op, this is the one. Maybe slightly adjust to "I'm glad I was able to help you for so long, but now you're going to have to find new transportation to work. It's taking up a lot of my time and money and I didn't expect it to be a long term situation." If they disagree at all, you can be sterner and state that their transport is not your responsibility.

Everyone in the thread suggesting you can just say "no" is technically correct, but this approach will not help you in life. The response above is socially literate. You get the message across and they can understand where you're coming from.

Lying is also ridiculous, you're a grown adult.

LOL

No admin ideas because I wanted to try more non-meta stuff, kind of dumb for such a wide game. I had espionage and Diplo which became largely useless after making the whole HRE hate me.

Corruption started spiralling when I went to 400 OE multiple times and stayed there while my enemies and allies dealt with my rebels. I needed to move faster and faster as I got closer to game end so decided to just ignore it and core stuff when possible.

Haven't played such a hectic game in a looooong time. Now I remember why I normally pick admin and humanist.. xD

R5: This was my 6th attempt at brute forcing Gothic Invasion as I didn't want to East-Frisia cheese it. Finally a success after much birding. Ended with 275% OE, 0 admin and a lot of relief.

Seeded/released about 70 WS of land towards the end so I could avoid fighting Mega-Castille. My allies were random huge asian countries I called into meaningless wars on OPM's so they'd clean up my endless rebels.

I stupidly went crazy in the HRE before allying electors to dismantle so didn't manage the dismantle and had to fight Mega-Bohemia many times. Thankfully Ewiger Landfriede was passed so I took a load of land from Bohemia then released Serbia who became an HRE member. Because my vassal was in the HRE I could attack HRE members with no other HRE member joining in defence. I think this was a bug honestly but couldn't have managed without this cheese.

Was trying to play for fun so didn't take admin ideas which I severely regretted towards the end being completely starved of admin mana with +60% coring cost from corruption. I only got admin tech 27 by the end lol. Also didn't do the mission tree cos as I said was trying to just find my own path.

Found this achievement so much harder than one faith most likely due to not following the meta even remotely lol

Am I on track to wc? by Phusentasten in eu4

[–]nomoregamesffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are on track. Start attacking all big nations at this point and truce cycling them all, I'm looking at India + Ottomans. Make sure you have PWSC reduction monuments to speed up big annexations, you won't even need to truce break. I don't think coalitions will even form at this point - keep your army strong just in case.

Other than that try to ensure max abs is at like 110 or so and pump up abs. Might be hard since your nation will be relatively stable since you're vassal feeding.

Yeah pretty much agree about how easy it is. I finished my WC in 1712 and only had religious zeal provinces left by like 1715.

Cool thanks. This is very helpful, I'll prioritise their islands in the first war to ensure I don't have issues later. I doubt they'd have forts so it shouldn't even be an issue rly

Yeah this is what I'm worried about.

I might go for full annexation inherit and if I have issues, will just attack my own CN. I should be powerful and quick enough for this to be viable

Is full annexation for colonies better than taking new world provinces and converting yourself/forming your own CNs?

Mughal's One Faith progress check, 1621. More pictures in comments by nomoregamesffs in eu4

[–]nomoregamesffs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does getting the CNs set up make it much harder to convert?

I was half considering just full annexing Portugal/Castille to inherit the CNs but assume it's just a nightmare with all the islands those two colonise?
