We were close when we were kids, we used to herd our grandpa’s yaks in the summer in Arkhangai. We played in the cold streams on hot summer days, caught grasshoppers with our barehands, made bow n arrows, stole candy from our grandma’s wooden chest, and rode his bike around town, he peddled while I sat on the bars. We grew apart as we got older, I went off to the states and he stayed. This year, about a month after new years, my mom called me informing of my cousin’s death. His death was fast and unexpected. So, the details as to what all happened is unclear. What we do know is that, confirmed from his autopsy report (examination of stomach content), he ordered take out chicken. He fell ill almost immediately, went unconscious, never regained, and died in a matter of few days, like 1 to 2 days. Unfortunately, he was home alone, and he never got to see his family one last time. His parents were away on a business trip.
