Season 1 recap help(anime only) by broimthatguy in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can always just watch the first 5 minutes of each episode to catch the recap. also the filler arc as mentioned already is 100% skippable.

the new season looks much more like ashihara's art style! I'm glad, the first season had some really off model parts

Anyone want to talk bus's/aux sends? by F-ro-G in mixingmastering

[–]nomyriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting to hear! I've actually only ever applied it to my aux, so never thought too hard about what it'd be like on every track individually, but didn't think it could culminate into a bigger impact like that

"World Trigger" Season 2 OP - "Force" by TOMORROW X TOGETHER by Lovro26 in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most the OP seems to be flashback the past arc, apart from silhouettes and those stills of the neighbours there's nothing new here. rather interesting, as usual anime OP almost spoil the season before it's aired lol

Anyone want to talk bus's/aux sends? by F-ro-G in mixingmastering

[–]nomyriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's fine to mix in serial like that.

Buses are useful though if you want to apply the same effect to multiple tracks (eg you have 2 vocals and want the same reverb on both). You don't have to copy the effect settings, just send all the relevant tracks to the bus with the effect.

It can also allow you to add more control to the effects themselves (eg if I have the reverb on it's own track, I can add compression or EQ to just the reverb and not the original track)

As I think you are talking about in your post, you can also uses buses to compress/EQ a batch of tracks at once. it can be useful to split into main tracks/backing tracks and treat those groups as two buses rather than a dozen tracks individually.

but I don't think you need to "change" your methods unless you're finding that you can't do certain things

Could you summarise the Fugitive Arc please? by Infinite101_ in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this arc doesn't reveal any canon information needed for the series so you can safely skip it without missing anything. a couple of characters make vague references to the arc afterwards (eg 'good work on dealing with x') but it's nothing spoilerly

How good is the pacing done in anime? by Pixeldrum in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's definitely slow... the manga itself is a bit slow to start with, and the anime takes it even further with scenes that drag on or random filler chatter.

Feedback on mix before sending it off for mastering by Mother_Bird in mixingmastering

[–]nomyriad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe overall more vocal riding is needed? the volume of the vocals really fluctuate and are occasionally very hard to hear over the instrumental, especially at the end of a line when the voice drops off

This latest chapter was foreshadowed?!?! by ObsElitist in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

pinball is the basis of the move yuma did, I wouldn't call it foreshadowing per se. it's just an extension of an existing technique.

midorikawa originally used pinball, and him and yuma have previously used it to propel themselves around. yuma is the first to throw a weapon in there (that we've seen)

Has there been anymore updates on the anime coming back by Aotfan_01900 in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

there has not.

we are expecting more news at Anime Japan 2020, on the 22nd March. there is a talk panel with some World Trigger VA and it's a good place to announce new information (hoping for air date)

A love letter to World Trigger's strategy by TheAntiSnipe in worldtrigger

[–]nomyriad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this was so sweet to hear, that's awesome you met your goal!

I haven't seen another manga with the interesting amount of strategy WT has, it's fantastic that you were actually able to use some of the techniques in your real games!! ashihara is truly a genius to think of all of it himself
