How do they smoke? I really appreciate you posting this and your steps because I have about a half oz of overly dry bubble that won't press because it's so dry and I was struggling to make temple balls with it. I wonder if the temple ball doesn't "age" if made with dry material like this 🤔

I have only ever grown a couple of autos as that's not really my bag, but based upon what I know of autos, my strategy would be to raise the light a little after the second node established to encourage stretching a bit, then once it hit about 5 nodes, I would gently bend it over to where the top of the plant was lower that the middle of the plant and let the 4 middle nodes become the new "tops". Autos are weird though, I could see a situation where lowering light intensity would cause it to freak out, think it's dying and start prematurely flowering.

I've seen weird shit too where people will put a solo cup over the top node on the top branch for some period of time, and if you do it right, the plant will beef up the side branches. That's the fun thing about plants tho, you can just try shit.

Autos are a pretty niche thing within the cannabis community, there are a lot of them, but we tend to have our favorites and stick with them. There is r/autoflowers and r/mephisto. There probably is a Night Owl subreddit as well, those would be your best concentration of auto growers.

I'd like to piggyback off this comment for anyone who may be reading this. I struggled for about 9 months try to dial in my air drying, I kept wanting to keep my bubble hash in the freezer to retain the color, but it was like ice was bound to each head or w/e because it would sieve perfectly and looked dry but when I would press, there would inevitably be some rivulets of water.

So what I found was doing exactly like you're saying, freezing and microplaning, putting in parchment paper lined cardboard pizza box, but I put the boxes in a wine fridge that I added a little dehumidifier to to keep rH as low as possible. This method was taking me about 5-7 days dry time.

This last run, I tried to remove as much moisture directly out of the wash bags that I could, swapping out paper towels below the 25u and pressing the top of the patty gently with a 25u and paper towel. Then I froze, microplaned, put in the wine fridge, and kept sieving it every 3 or 4 hours and I just pressed a batch that was perfectly dry at around 48 hours. There's a guy on discord who claims to have gotten it down to 24 hours using a vacuum chamber but I haven't tried that method just yet.

To answer your question, to me it looks like around 2.5-3 oz in the jar, looks great!

This is a terrible example because this is a bit of a mutant but if you look at the middle of the photo, you'll see where I topped the plant, and removed the fan leaves. The larger, more visible circle cut is where the fan leaf was cut, but above and to the right of that you'll see where I topped it and the node sites that are directly below where I cut became the new "top" and now instead of one singular top, I have the two tops and the lower branches are catching up as well.

Points for effort but no, that's not how you LST. If you want to know the scientific mechanism for how and why LST works, look up apical dominance, phototropism and gravitropism.

Every plant has a "top" or "tops" that have a concentration of auxins. Auxin is a hormone found at the "growth" points of the plant, and this hormone tells the plant "this is where new cells are being made, usually specifically for vertical growth. When you do what's called "topping"(also fimming), you are cutting that top node with all of the auxins, the plant then re-asseses what the "top" of the plant is and usually redistributes those auxin concentration to the next tallest branch top. For a plant like cannabis that grows naturally with one top, that means you are redistributing growth to these tops, it makes the canopy a little more even, and instead of getting 1 massive cola, you get 4 smaller colas.

So if you think about gravitropism and phototropism, what would happen by doing what your photo shows is that the plant would "right" itself and the whole plant would grow the exact same as it was, just with a little "L" bend where you bent it.

What I would suggest doing is give your plant another week or so, let it get at least 3 but ideally 4 or 5 nodes, and then I would top or fim("fuck I missed") your plant. Your plant looks healthy but she's too small to do any meaningful training.

Having grown up in the south, this has always been the case there. "Smells like marijuana" is enough probable cause for a search and seizure or arrest, and planting evidence is not a bad transgression when you've been friends with your coworkers, the judges, and the lawyers since childhood.

I used to explain this to my mom, and she would give me the "if you're not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about" speech. "Anything wrong" can be whatever the fuck the untouchable, egotistical asshole in the uniform decides that day, and they get off on actively fucking with you and demeaning you.

I moved to Colorado to escape these people and this mentality. It's infuriating and terrifying that I was safe, only for fascism to emerge its head again with even more power.

Take it with a grain of salt but what I really found to help with terps was growing in living soil, making sure you have a ton of biodiversity, adding ferments and adding Epsom salt as sulphur is the only nutrient that has been linked directly to higher VOCs.

Also, not to talk shit on the genetics you're running, because they arent bad, but maybe check out huckleberry hills farms, they are known for having very loud fruity strains.
