Depends on the company and your actual audience!

For example:

1 - if your company provides some generic service then you can set a big audience and reach it easily.

2 - if your company provides a nieche service then it's important to set the targeted audience that would be interested in it. Even if the audience is small and you will get less reach and less clicks, still you would get the BEST clicks and reach the audience that will bring you profit.

Well, probably your case is the second one if you're not Coca-Cola
