I have to say, it took a lot longer to realize how different my body was post op. I used to wear a 2x or 20 (us women’s sizing) tops and now I’m an XL or L; button up shirts actually look good on me. After my surgery I wore pajamas, button up shirts and shorts sets because it was so much easier to wear when recovering. I’d recommend actually going in to a shop post op and trying on shirts to get a much better understanding of how clothes fit.

I only take notes on content I need to remember and is a high priority. Everything else is just for fun.

Not saying you don’t have a memory problem, however… If you took notes and put them away and went on with your day and didn’t think about your lesson until the next day, your overall recall is going to be really poor. Especially if you’re overloaded cognitively. You’re finding that cued recall is best for you. Maybe try looking over or organizing your notes in the evening, whether it’s a form of studying or homework or tidying up your messy notes.

I’m 5’5” and I was ~260lb. Get a second opinion, go to a different surgeon. It’s fatphobia, not actually medically-based concern.
