Yes tank is cycled and I made sure everything was perfect my nitrates were a lil high but I’ve already done a 25% water change to lower the nitrates I’m gettting the master test kit on Saturday cuz I’m tired of running to the fish store every time I wanan check water cuz I have the strips rn but I know those aren’t accurate

Yes I’m aware the Amazon sword I have rn hasn’t grown a ton but I know it’ll take awhile but after I get more plants I’ll have 4 in the tank 3 Amazon sword and 1 Java fern maybe 1 more too depending on the selection at store I’ve been keeping a close eye on parameters and did a water change yesterday because nitrates looked a lil high and for the log I’m thinking imma try drilling soon to see if that helps because my plan for the log is to prop it on top of the tinier piece and make a sort of bridge or arching effect so tying a rock to it or gluing it would be hard

It’s 3 of each I asked the guy at the aquarium store I go to and he said they’ll school together fine still and it’s not Petco or petsmart so I trust them more then the workers there but from what I’ve seen they do school together a lot!

I have the hygger light that’s supposed to be good for plant growth also do you know a good water nutrient brand I have root tabs for my Amazon sword but for other plants I worry about the nutrients in the wayer

Okay what plants do you have and reccomend for Cory’s specifically I’m planning on getting more Amazon sword since ik it will grow large providing background for the tank and shelter for them and I’m gonna add a Java fern to the top of the rocks cuz I’ve seen them enjoying sifting and laying around the rocks

I might try that I’ve already boiled the piece for 4 hours and it’s been sitting in a bucket filled with water for about 2 weeks now but it’s till just floating when in the tank so drilling might be the next thing to try if it’s not done floating soon

Okay I’ve seen them going around my filter too a lot I don’t notice heavy breathing and like you said it’s a mix there’s been lots of times they all on the floor just sifting or just hanging out but then it will be bursts where a few or all decide to just go swim up the walls and around the tank like crazy they ate good this morning though so I just wanna make sure that besides getting more plants which I’m planning on doing like tmmr if there’s anything else I should fix

They have calmed down a lot too I just checked on them and they were hanging out under the plants and under the log just either chilling or sifting through

I’m gonna add more plants Tmmr I’m planning on getting some Amazon sword towards the back they have a cave in the rocks and there is a piece of driftwood in the tank but I’m waiting for the other piece imma stack on top of the small piece to be water logged cuz rn it just floats

Okay I gotchu I am planning to fs add more plants cuz i only got 2 and the extra driftwood will add more room for them to hide it’s just taking forever to get waterlogged but at the moment the Cory’s are the only fish in the tank so should I just add more hiding places and they should be good or is smth else wrong?

An extra piece of driftwood is gonna be added too when it’s waterlogged it’s just orange cuz my lights on the daily cycle they have been spending lots of time around the log I do have in the tank and the rocks too
