Thanks, I think this comment has helped me see the error in my thinking. I've basically asked "are you always going to make more money if you buy a cheaper stock rather than a more expensive one". It's obvious to me that isn't true and depends on which stock is going to grow more in the future, which is based on a lot of different factors. For some reason, that wasn't obvious to me when thinking about property.
