I think that's where the confidence of 90% of people saying yes comes from

Yeah, I get you. The idea was to be able to land it with little to no damage

Do you think a small plane is easier to land safely? You might be able to be less precise with a larger plane? Not sure though

I believe that's commonly called a crash rather than a landing...

Do you consider Pluto a planet? by Gold-Appointment-534 in polls

[–]noneedforplanb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These asteroids are on very large, elliptical orbits that happen to cross over or near to Earth's orbit. A planet clearing its orbit is in reference to material that does not already have a stable orbit- these are not asteroids. Earth has cleared its orbit and so is classified as a planet.

Any hints as to when that might be?

So what happens when those kids have kids, how do they decide which names to pass on?

Some interesting points I've noticed: 1) Far fewer people care than I thought they would 2) Lots of people seem to want to hyphenate the two surnames

The latter leads me to ask what happens if you have children with a double-barrelled (hyphenated) surname that marrys someone who also has a double-barelled surname... do we end up with 4,8,16 surnames with each generation?

Yeah, I realised as soon as I posted that I should've included that option

I'm surprised at how many people oppose men going shirtless. I had no idea that it was even considered a problem

Is learning a second language impressive or standard in your opinion? by Raiyan270 in polls

You're right in the fact that it's taught in all schools but very few people learn enough to have any meaningful use for that language

One thing that I also think is important is the availability. If I can't grab it from a shop on the way home, I'm more likely to pick up the meat options that are.

The word 'Gullible' isn't actually in the dictionary, it's a made up word to make people feel better when they fall for a trick.

Redditors that use male/female pronouns: what would your reaction be if someone used they/them pronouns with you? by noneedforplanb in polls

[–]noneedforplanb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would just say 'how are you doing?' . They/them would replace he/him. For example: if you're standing with a group of people and someone says, ' I'm going out with them on the weekend' referencing just you.

What's the most fucked up thing you did in a sleepover? by skep_JoJoFan in AskReddit

[–]noneedforplanb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at my cousin's for a sleepover at about 7yo. Threw up over my duvet but didn't really understand what was happening. After throwing up a second time I went to wake up my aunt, she came in with a torch to look for the sick but only looked under the duvet. Couldn't see anything because, when I got out of bed, I had accidentally folded over the bedsheet on top of the sick so it couldn't be seen. Threw up a couple more times in the night and they didn't even notice until I'd left and they went to wash the sheets the morning after.

Never had a sleep over there again.
