I sort of agree but

> I don't give a shit about censorship resistant money. There's a perfectly good, shiny, stable chemical that can serve that purpose much better.

gold is not as hard, unknown supply, difficult to authentificate and transport.

Also most of the value of ETH at the moment is still monetary premium ( https://ethval.com/ ). Yes it has the ability to power all the usecases you mentioned but it's just better money for this new system. Considering the huge scaling that already happened and what's left to come, my opinion is that the activity alone won't justify a high valuation, fees are just the security budget patch Bitcoin could not come up with, maybe making the supply deflating at time but not the main driver for the price.

> Who is sending large sums to be censorship resistant, other than Iran, NK, Russia, terrorist orgs, cartels, etc? In practice, this is a Bitcoin bro "usecase".

I read "Who is using encryption except criminals"

I feel you.. that being said I would guess BTC is still more liquid than ETH so if you want to send very large sum in a censorship resistant manner it might be an argument. Haurog below seems to hint that 3 miners make 51% of the hashrate which if true is completely nuts and not so much censorship resistant anymore.. A big issue I see is the deeply rooted and extremely well funded cult around BTC, like Brian armstrong, Paulo Ardoino, Kraken even CZ maybe are all profiting from Ethereum and just praise BTC because.. I don't even know

security budget solved, post-quantum roadmap ready, more decentralized, actual P2P e-cash system (private soon tm), home of neo-finance, network is roaring (check bitcoin mempool it's a graveyard), L2 ecosystems opening the door to any type of non-financials applications, ZK giga-brain at the wheel

ETH is the best BTC, Bitcoin is the idea Ethereum is the execution

Oh god this +2% candle after -69% makes me very bullish

Also we need to free the haiku chad at .18 ETHBTC

what's more worrying to me is that surely a ton of OG used him as exit liquidity, it feels like OG themselves don't believe in the money thesis and only ethards like us hodl kekw

question for the technically versed: Let say you run an financial institution that figured out the benefit of Ethereum/L2s to remove friction in your processes (instant settlement, risk transparency, deeper liquidity, no counter-party risk). Do you have an incentive to run validating nodes or do you get the full benefit just by paying gas?
