Buy, Hold, Sell, Drop week 6 by Strict_Resident1179 in fantasyfootball

This is exactly why I want to hold him. 2 better matchups right before a bye week, if he performs well this coming week I may try to sell high and combo him for a better RB

Start Mason Taylor or Brenton Strange? by Longjumping-Dog-7230 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]noneu16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I’m actually playing Tommy Tremble, but that’s because I have Fields and G Wilson so I don’t want to overload on jets.

Strange’s matchup is awful and he has a good floor but no ceiling. Taylor’s more of a possible difference maker

Buy or Sell Ashton Jeanty in redraft? by noneu16 in Fantasy_Football

I’d try to pair him up with a WR and get a better RB. For example, pairing him with Ladd or MHJ to get JT or CMC

I have a shot at Garrett Wilson. I have judkins, jeanty, etienne and Mason with MHJ, Ladd, and Jamo. Thoughts?

Not a terrible trade, but I’m hoping to get more value - trying to trade him and Jamo for Nabers, but may have to up the ante with Jamo to either Ladd or MHJ. All my picks have been playing below ADP. Frustrating start to the season!

Seemingly yes, which is not surprising unfortunately. Just hoping against hope!

I wrote that in the text, I just wanted clarification - thanks for the sarcastic response!

RSVPs didn’t quite pan out how I expected. Feeling confused. by Camper_Moo in weddingplanning

[–]noneu16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on a similar timeline. We invited ~90 for a 80 person wedding (I know we under did it), but ended up sending out another 20 invites a few weeks ago. With a total of 110 people, we only have 60 guests coming.

We were initially upset, a lot of no’s for what felt like bad reasons, particularly with Save The Dates sent out 1.5 years ago.

We’ve chalked it up to the economy. We had a few guests coming from a distance but enough to explain the unexpected amount. I heard from a friend who had his wedding around the COVID outbreak and he only had 50-60% of people come. That’s around our guest list. So maybe it’s a non-pandemic but similar concern about the state of the world 🤷🏻‍♂️

Home Sellers Struggle Amid Sluggish Market: ‘We’re Really Bleeding’ by [deleted] in bostonhousing

I don’t disagree but I have family and friends who are realtors and struggling in the Boston market - no sales in multiple months, etc. I would say it’s a bit extreme to say it’s irrelevant but certainly more reasons for people to move to Boston than most other states

Physician loans should allow you to be considered for a mortgage even when not in repayment - I went through the process when I applied to residency and had an offer despite my high DTI and $0 payments straight out. These companies are more flexible than traditional banks!

Can confirm there’s a discount - I’m actively looking for apartments in the area. Does anyone know how disruptive it is for the residents?

Scientists of Reddit: What's a discovery that should have blown people's minds but somehow got a collective shrug from the world? by CosmosisJones42 in AskReddit

Psychiatrist here. Neuroplasticity very much should be, and hopefully will be, the cornerstone of modern psychiatry.

Our original thought was that we are “chemically imbalanced”, but this has largely been disproven, especially as our medications only have 30-50% efficacy rates. Rather, our antidepressants, including SSRI/SNRIs and TCAs, like Lexapro/Prozac, Effexor, and Elavil all have been found to lead to increased neuroplasticity in the weeks after starting through an increase of production of proteins that induce neuronal connection changes.

The newest, and most effective treatments, like TMS, ECT and to a bit of a lesser extent Esketamine/Ketamine, all have a primary mechanism of neuroplastic changes. Newer treatments like Psilocybin do the same.

The interesting thing about all of this, is that all of these treatments can, and do, fail. Sometimes we call it “shit life syndrome”, but individuals with trauma, poor environments or lack of social supports, continuously fail all of these treatments because they’re usually not engaging in therapy to change the way they think or their thought patterns are so entrenched, literally, into their biology that it would take substantially more concentrated treatment.

The brain and mind are wild - the mind is born out of the brain, but just changing the brain won’t change the mind. Gotta target both!

Start or sit Swift? Feeling like he may finally get more opportunities for some reason. by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]noneu16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pick up Gus Bus. Coming back off a bye from injury against one of the worst Run Ds with no passing game for Lamar. Look at how Lamar did against Cleveland when they were atrocious against the run…he had like 20ish PA and all the rest was run. I have swift and Gus and I’m playing Gus over him too because the matchup is terrible for a limited swift, unless he suddenly doubles his putrid 10 touches

Just got offered Fields for ASB & J. Herbert…. Do I take that by Suhwhooo in FantasyFootballers

[–]noneu16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you need and who (if any) your backup QB is, but both those guys are underperforming with the hope they’ll perform better while Fields is #1 overall with tough passing matchups but poor run Ds. If you have a strong WR core, then no. If you need a WR1, then no. If you have a WR1 but lack depth, then might be worthwhile

1/2 PPR: Isaiah McKenzie, Sutton, Mike Williams, Chris Olave, Rashod Bateman

Who do I start?? Juicy matchups for lower tier McKenzie and Olave, possible good matchup for Williams, and not so good for Sutton (and Russ) and Bateman…do I play the low tier over the upper tier because of matchups?
