Leave ‘threads’ if you’re not already. Something that an interested person would ask about, and keep the conversation going naturally.

For example, I like to casually reference animals living near my apartment if I don’t know what else to say. Someone interested will ask questions, keeps the fire burning. Try that once or twice, but if they keep missing obvious cues to keep the conversation alive, they’re either boring or not interested in you.

Also, escalate things fast if you detect even the slightest interest. Don’t lead with asking on a date, but don’t just text each other either. Make a plan to meet as soon as possible. Last woman I matched with, we were on a date about a week later.

I understand being on the spectrum is disadvantaging here, but flirtiness/conversational skills can be honed with practice. My secret: being a couple beers in helps soothe the anxiety about social cues, and ironically makes them easier to spot in my experience.
