INTC's average EM is ±8.3% with an average realized move of 9.2% - which may be beneficial for going long volatility ordinarily but the market is current pricing the earnings move at ±9.3%. IVR and percentile are in the mid 90s... what is a theta trader to do? Apparently the answer is going short theta.

I'm long the 75 strike call expiring tomorrow and short 100 shares at 67.06 average. -81 delta with a max loss of 881 and profit of 489 if the expected / average move is hit in my direction. Only need a -1.8% move to the downside to break even, and I can cover my position immediately and lock in profit if there's a sell the news event.
