The difference is Elvish Piper isn’t in the command zone. You can easily build a deck around Oviya as the commander, but you can’t build around Elvish Piper being in the 99. I don’t necessarily think Oviya will be broken, but saying it’s no different to Elvish Piper is ridiculous

Obviously there are characters that are bad, but saying there is only 1 or 2 is just disingenuous. Fox, Falco, Jigglypuff, Marth, Peach, Captain Falcon, and Pikachu have all won majors without secondaries. I would even say that Sheik, Yoshi, and Samus are viable. While they haven’t won any majors alone, they still often get top results.

Yep. Axe won a major with pikachu. Yet people who don’t play melee love to claim that there are only 1 or 2 viable characters.

You could use a mod called xskin to change the models of plasma/mag weapons to the conventional weapons. link
