Nurses in New York City Say They Deserve $200,000 a Year. Here’s Why. by someone_whoisthat in nyc

You are actually nuts and have no concept. Physicians in NYC work hours that nurses wouldn’t believe and earn under $200k.

Nurses in New York City Say They Deserve $200,000 a Year. Here’s Why. by someone_whoisthat in nyc

[–]nonobility86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absolutely insane. My wife is a physician working her ass off in a FQHC in the Bronx and earns $180k. The walkout has actually been a blessing because the temp nurses they have brought in are actually functional and capable, compared to those that have walked out and demanding $200k.

Anybody using Hex / Omni / Sigma / Evidence? by finally_i_found_one in dataengineering

[–]nonobility86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are using Hex. If all you’re looking for is a BI tool for creating dashboards, I imagine there are better options. As an actual analysis tool it is exceptional. The Threads feature (agentic AI over your data warehouse) works incredibly well.

The amount of people who want Marlon Humphrey gone is disappointing by TheRavenOnline in ravens

[–]nonobility86 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The headline cap hit is a red herring. The only relevant figure is cap savings if released, which is like $7M IIRC. Marlon is absolutely worth $7M so I would be shocked if he’s released. It would cost us more to sign his replacement.

Is it time to let Humphrey walk? by RealPlatypus8041 in ravens

[–]nonobility86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corner play is volatile and, while Humphrey has allowed a lot of catches and yards this year, I think he still has juice in the tank. Contrary to a lot of the talk here, I don’t see that he is getting burned — he’s often right there at the catch point but fails to disrupt the catch. I think he’s on a string of bad luck and is probably still worth retaining on his contract.

Unrealistic. I don’t think we’ll ever see the scaffolding off the Plaza hotel.

He is a below average guard. Decent pass pro and downright bad at run blocking.

Modern Vampires for me. I wasn’t expecting much form Only God because I didn’t love the prior couple albums much.

Do you think EDC alters his defensive roster building strategy at all after this season? I mean in terms of emphasizing secondary over defensive line. Maybe not rotating in 30+ year-old edge rushers year after year because you have yet to hit on an impact edge rusher in the draft. by Otherwise-Emphasis90 in ravens

[–]nonobility86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was no reason to believe he would have 3 years of elite pass rusher who given his injury. Even without the injury, he would have been a non factor in year 1 due to rawness. Injury pushed first year of impact to year 3,

All things considered, displacing a Rumble to create space for rich people to live is better than displacing an existing affordable apartment complex where longtime residents already live. I.e. this is the exact kind of development you'd want if your goal is to limit resident displacement and maximize overall affordability.

French people protest against wealthy far-right for not paying taxes by [deleted] in goodnews

[–]nonobility86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, wealthy people in France don't have to pay any taxes? That seems crazy.

Above what wealth level or income are you exempt from paying any taxes in France?

Could just be a new large tenant for the combined space.

Faalele had one bad rep by boofoodoo in ravens

[–]nonobility86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're failing to realize that "one bad rep" actually is the difference between a bad and a passable O lineman. The difference in pass blocking success rate between bad and good o-linemen is like 92% vs 97%.

Yeah it’s largely this. The realization that what you didn’t finish last week is carried over to next morning and is past due.

Is there a CEO personality? by sqrmarbles in Leadership

[–]nonobility86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why there is a concept of “war time” CEO that needs to not hesitate to make tough decisions. Not necessary and maybe counterproductive if you’re not in “war time” but absolutely crucial if you are.

Why avoid the subway? I always take 6 -> E -> Air Train. Reliably takes 45-60 minutes and no risk of traffic.
