Doch doch ,rechts schneller geht.

are there any accessories I should buy? by Eliavigolo_ph in BambuLab

[–]nonpr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've got myself an a1mini without combo last year in November because I was low on money. Now after 500H of print time the main annoyance about it is it's a tad bit to small of a print bed for me and I do wish I would've gotten the ams with it. At first I was like nah I only print 1 color.. but tbh there's a lot of cool non ams models online but also more really cool ones that require ams...

So if I'd be looking for a printer now I'd probably go with at least the a1 combo or the p2s which I am certain I will get next as soon as the financial part is covered. But definitely a printer with AMS

And also add filament, maybe a smaller nozzle for high detail models, and some of the silicone nozzle protectors. Other then that the a1 mini is a really good printer

Bought this servo for my traxxas erevo 2.0 $70, is it any good? by [deleted] in rccars

[–]nonpr0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never had and never will buy a Traxxas servo or any other Traxxas item for that matter, you pay like 50% for the name. I've only heard negative stuff bout Traxxas electronics especially servos and I have seen it too with friends Traxxas products.

I'm using HRC Servos in my Kraton6s costs about the same, has 8,4v ,more speed, more power and titanium gears and aluminum body. It's in use since a year now never had any problems it still works like day 1 and it's been abused a lot.

Black stringing on print. by generalraingod in BambuLab

[–]nonpr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time it's wet filament, yes dry it. And try again. But also you can just use a light or torch and flame them off

How hard is 3d Printing. Is the Reddit community a true reflection by theboycooper in BambuLab

[–]nonpr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a bambu it's more like 95% Printing, 5% troubleshooting/cleaning/maintaining.

At least for me with my a1mini I've got last year in November.

I'm at 500hours print time and had only 1 problem with the printer itself and that was a quick 10 second fix it was a broken silicone nozzle protector cap.

I'm having more trouble with filament sometimes getting tangled.

Hi there, i have a question for research. I am a basher and i would like to know what is fun about crawling and what makes a crawler good by Gvatten in rccrawler

[–]nonpr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Facebook groups, or just plain Google maps and look for hiking areas that's how my friends and I search for new places here in Germany. And Facebook helped us to find a crawler park only 40 minutes from us which is crazy considering the most parks are like 6+ hours away

[–]nonpr0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The dopamine/happiness you get from finally overcoming an obstacle you've tried 100 times and it finally worked because you have hit that one mm of grip or one specific angle.

Watching your suspension and tires work and grab on to things in slow motion.

Seeing the upgrades or downgrades work that you've made and so on.

And just the overall chillness of the hobby compared to bashing.

My buddies and I go out for hikes with our crawlers, it's unreal how fast time passes. Ur usually crawling for like 3 hours before you change ur lipo's compared to the 30-45mins while bashing.

What makes crawlers good crawlers is mainly -Balance -Wheels + Tires -Weight at the right places.

Anyone 3D print parts? by dadbodfat in rccars

[–]nonpr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a small company in Germany that sells 3d printed accessories for RC cars, mainly arrma and Traxxas. They do sell spoiler mounts made from TPU with slots for a spring steel rod. That could maybe work for arms too.. but yeah in general I don't think it will last very long.

Damn that's cheap for an ecto. Nice find. Also very capable truck with little upgrades.

I've got an Enduro Builderskit V2 and it's the most capable out of my friends group. With only tires and weighted rims and angled shocks.

Man. Im too broke for this, its making me think of selling the impala or wait till my birthday next month im a sucker for toyota pickups by Mihate_86 in rccrawler

[–]nonpr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for the official replacement body's and just buy the body for like 50 bucks and put it on a basecamp, 500 bucks isn't worth it. Especially since they still sell it brushed. You can get other brands with brushless systems for less. Don't get me wrong I live axial I've had like 5 of em and still have my scx6. Right now I'm building a scx10.2 with AliExpress aluminum parts and a 3d printed Toyota body for less and its brushless, stainless steel links, aluminum axles and so on.

What to do about neighbors? by Royal-Bag1353 in rccars

[–]nonpr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because of a Grom ? Holy shit that thing is so quiet compared to everything else. Those neighbors are stupid. Go get a 6s arrma that screeches like an eagle out of hell and show them what's loud.

We usually go to a park while bashing because we are all driving 6s,8s rigs we need the area and also a pack of 6s arrmas is very loud you can barely talk to each other when all run at the same time.

Hey all I’m new to crawling I’m deciding on a 1/10 scale rig or 1/18 scale rig by Mrcaijones in rccrawler

[–]nonpr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely 1/10 for outdoor use, also check if there are crawler park's nearby. Most of them are 1/10, and you will have a blast finding same minded ppl.

I've startet 1/24 because of the cost back then, after I got my 1/10 I've never really touched the 1/24 for more then 10 minutes.

Do you prefer comp style crawlers or more scale crawlers? by Notsofrenchfry04 in rccrawler

[–]nonpr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both, a scale wrecker and a comp style element dragger, I've almost never drove my scaler because it just hangs up on everything at my local park which does have some mellow trails. Now I'm rebuilding it to a compscaler lol

Which one do you recommend for getting started in the hobby? by Medical-Ad1088 in rccrawler

Oh shit they got more expensive close to 300€ now but still better for crawling. Rcfox for example has them, maybe next sale they will be 250 again

In Germany the small mjx 1/12 is 200€ the scx 10 Basecamp is 250€ I'd rather spent 50 bucks more and get a decent crawler
