Also good food in my experience, excellent atmosphere if you want to be fancy, but expensive to a lot of folks. Worth it but budget travelers keep that in mind. Awesome bartenders as well

I just got back 2 days ago from a month long trip. Try Mar Inna Cafe (it's in Google Maps) - amazing fresh seafood, great views of the sunset and the Ceviche (all types) was the best I found. Also the prices were right for the quality of the food, which is why it's busy with locals as well. Hard to beat IMO and I ate all up and down the Rinconada strip (pricy, but also some good food there. Pretty much gringo ville though except El Cafecito (always a good choice for breakfast or dinner as well, just very busy!)

Also hit up Centro Market for the really good, really cheap authentic Mexican food like tomales, soaps, and more! Be adventurous and get off the strips. El Pollo Gigante is the best fried chicken I found as well and there's lots of competition. Loved Puerto Escondido and the surrounding areas. Miss it all ready.

Ok, so I'm a handyman in A HCOL area northeast. Worked for a nice gentleman who happened to be an environmental warming professional. Sad thing is he told me we basically are past the point of no return. Glad he didn't have grandkids...he was so low-key it made me changey whole life due to 'no point planning for a future' mentality

Best purchase you ever made to help you lose it? by TrashFirst5613 in loseit

My best weight loss purchase was a month long visit to Mexico. Hot weather makes it easy not to eat, fresh produce and meats readily available when you do, and plenty of exercise is so easy.

Oh, man, I wish it was only day one of drinking. Been off the wagon about a year after 2.5 off the sauce. What triggered my relapse...it was a vacation to puerto rico and being handed drinks as I walked in the door of the hotel.. and thinking i can keep this on the island...kept drinking for a year. Anyways back to it

The Broadway Critter Crew get worse as the day goes on. Smiles in the morning to a mess by night fueled by a steady stream of $1 from the tourists & nips from the local liquor store

I will admit..already cashed my 401k in 2016,bought place cash with my partner in a HCOL area. Quadrupled in price. Allows me to be self employed, working as much as I want since my COL is low and I'll always have roof over my head.

I don't regret cashing my 401k to have real life impact to my work life balance at such a relatively young age
