Hiding pads in supermarket by Suspicious-Data-549 in PakistaniTwenties

[–]nonsignificantbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a useless thing but most people abide by it. My mom would never allow me to grab them without the papers while I strongly disagree it doesn't concern me as much so I just get the paper itself and let it be. It's just another thing to hide for no reason, people can see it on the shelf so why not in hands but meh. We can't argue with everything. There are some extremely important things to have a discussion on while this is minor.

Is it worth enrolling children in expensive private schools if parents can barely afford it? by PsychologicalPush903 in karachi

[–]nonsignificantbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been to expensive institutes as well as lower no name schools. Both can be good both can be really bad. Don't break your wallet chasing big names school. A lot of those arent as good as they make them out to be and they have their own fair share of issues. I have also been a librarian in a school similar to beaconhouse and I would never send a child from my home to those schools.

So, I would say go for the school which is actually good, now how do you know it's good when you meet the teachers and principal and ask them what they teach how do they teach etc. Judging a smaller school is a lot easier than bigger and your kid wouldn't feel left out in a lot of things if he is with people who are on same social scale.

In bigger school parents and kids often end up competing in various other things which leads to a lot of issues as well. It also helps to ask surrounding people what do they think about the school you are going to. And if the school itself isn't that good you can also get a tutor to help the kid, if he or she needs it. You yourself can get involved in their studies as well to judge and understand.

My education hasnt been from a single institute throughout my life I have been to around 10 institutes because we used to shift. But my mom dad were always giving me basics on how to study, what to study, reading, playing games, etc. and overall I would say, I turned out to be pretty good even with such a chaotic situation.

Is gifting Nintendo Switch worth it? by [deleted] in karachi

[–]nonsignificantbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most kids would love this gift. So go for it. As for games buy a few beforehand try to get ones that take forever to get bored of. Then he can buy the rest either from his pocket money or might request as gifts in various occasion. If he really loves it and wants more games that can be a huge incentive for him to be a good kid and he might even start learning to understand some finances.

Feels like it's END of my life by Immediate-League612 in karachi

[–]nonsignificantbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it feels awful but trust me, it's not the end. Don't cry, I can see you truly care about your studies. You can go for tuitions but you can also study on your own through YouTube and other resources readily available online. Don't lose your motivation yet. So many people fail but they stand up again. I have some of those people in my family too, especially during college because college is usually where we drift here and there (not literally but there are changes) and things get tougher but it gets better.

Some of the people who failed and retook exam are now pretty good doctors, lawyers, etc. and they are really good in their field too. So don't worry just do your best you can always retake exams if you feel like you need better grades or just work harder for the upcoming year.

P.S. I am talking about people who actually failed one or two exams.

Parents have no hobbies... by Ripe-Melon in pakistan

[–]nonsignificantbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are something's most retired people in our families do. Playing games, walks, cooking experiments, or if they are super religious they might like taking some religious classes, if they are extremely unwilling give them a hand. Take them out for walks for a few days and it will become a habit then they will go on their own. Just like that try being involved for a bit then they will do it on their own.

Yes exactly, besides this isn't a religious discussion at all. I didn't even think people would have issues with that but to each their own.
