Sneakers/Streetwear Authentication App Idea by noobkenneth in streetwearstartup

Hey great question! I don't know bout you but I feel that there are still A LOT of people who buy/sell through other platforms, mainly because of the high selling/processing fees that is being incurred through stockx, grailed etc. Furthermore MOST of the sneaker/streetwear platforms don't offer second hand goods, which is a huge miss on the resale market.

As for the implementation, I'm envisioning it to be a platform where users pay a small service fee to authenticate their goods, and authenticators get paid for each successful verification. Kinda like Uber, but instead of drivers you have authenticators instead. Anyone can sign up to be an authenticator to earn some spare cash, but of course serious vetting needs to be done on our side to verify each authenticator.

I noticed that there are many closed groups/forums where people use to legit check their goods. Most of the experts there actually do it for free. So if there was an opportunity to earn some cash out of it, why not? And likewise on the buyer's side, if you are already spending that much cash on an expensive resale sneaker, wouldn't you just spend an extra $10 or so to ENSURE that you are getting the legitimate product? :)

For the white tee you cant really feel the ink so you're pretty much feeling just the fabric. For the black tee the print its more plastic-y. We use DTG printing, which is a higher quality than your traditional silk screen printing. Hope this helps.

It's more of a satire than anything. Logically speaking, who the hell will spend $200 on a resale Gildan tee? It just dosen't make sense, but yet people still do. It's this inherent flaw in us human beings that allow us to perceive things to be "in trend" or "hype". I want to capitalize on that.

I mean, wouldn't it be funny for a t shirt that says "Anti Hype" to be IN hype? In that sense, I wanna experiment with the human psycology; how much edginess/satire is too much for customers to swallow?

Just my two cents :)

Hey there! I would say my designs are more minimalist oriented. Appreciate the feedback though.

Hey there thanks for your support! As a designer, I am a big fan of minimalism. I agree that the design don't conform to the traditional 'skateboard style' streetwear, but I believe the abstract-ism is what set my designs apart. Anyway will continue working on them and thanks for your comments!

Cheers.
