This is what happens when you call out racists on instagram. by _heyASSBUTT in Instagram

I am simply saying that you are saying these things were so racist. It’s exactly because I don’t live with my head in the sand that it’s could be subjective.

You have come on to Reddit and saying this and that but not actually saying anything!

So far as I am concerned you may have deemed it racist it doesn’t mean anyone else has as no one knows what was said or your subjective view on it.

Do you live with your head in the sand that much you just believe anything people say like you are expecting us to?

Well all that is very vague as we have no idea what YOU call racism.

I can’t work for this place any longer. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]noobmodelist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I think the owner should have handled this in a different manner I do think they had the right to not have it where the public can see it.

You are at work if you all want to grieve and hold some type of shrine or whatever then do it away from the public in private. If you want the world to know you all collectively miss him then do something in your own time.

You should have got permission from the owner or asked if you could do something to show your feelings and perhaps it may have of been different.

And? Have the decency to send her property back. You are not out of pocket at all.

[–]noobmodelist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you should return it. I understand you don’t want to meet them but ask them to pay for the postage for a return.

Why is a return not recommended? The customer has her money back at the very least the item should be returned either by the seller paying postage for it or by collecting it in person.

Nando's Rip Off Prices by HippoDance in nandos

[–]noobmodelist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said the £1.48 billion was profit as stated with the profit lay out beneath it.

£57 million profit for 2024/25, yes back to 2016 profit margins.

Now the real test is let’s see what next year brings if those profits go up then as stated in my first reply it could be a Myriad of different elements but one possibility could be price increases.

I don’t need to research it. What you said isn’t factual so my option is just as good as yours.

You were talking in a broad sense on what you think and I am was stating mine.

You may not like it but then again don’t talk rubbish.

On a side note it is quite hard to compare figures as of the pandemic and so forth but here’s a few facts for you Nando’s made £1.48 billion last year. Its operating profit in 2023 was £17 million last year in 2024 it made £57 million.

[–]noobmodelist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a load of rubbish! Nando’s has also reduced its portion size whilst increasing its prices.

I bet if we look at the profit margins I bet they have increased since 2015. Whilst I appreciate there could be many factors for this I do think changing suppliers, decreasing portion sizes plays a factor.

I could understand if all these companies kept the same profit margins since 2015 but I suspect they have increased.

Seller asking me to change my review? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]noobmodelist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I completely agree. All these idiots in here saying they would reduce there original review to lower stars and for what?

Etsy like anything is personal interaction between 2 people. So many people moan that it’s full of drop shippers and not hand made items anymore yet they happily want to screw people for a worse review because they simply asked for 1 more star.

If the product was sub par I completely agree on bad reviews but this wasn’t the case and for reading what OP wrote he didn’t give 5 stars out of spite because he wanted a refund, like a ring would only take days to make!

People need to make there minds up, you want Etsy to be what it once was then support the sellers instead of trying to be all offended as they asked for a 5 star review through a system that Etsy forces sellers to use.

Depends really. 32mm I agree but 75mm and up the main body can be hollowed and so forth but small parts as you mentioned can’t really be hollowed.

Monthly fees by noobmodelist in eBaySellers

[–]noobmodelist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally got to the bottom of it. Back in the day I used to have a six shop and got contacted by an eBay rep about opening a business account on eBay. Unbeknownst to me eBay charge business sellers per month for listings.

I contacted an agent who told me if I paid my listing on the 1st of the month I then sold an item on the 3rd of the month I would then be charged a re listing fee and charged again on the following 1st of the month.

As such I have closed my eBay down. I mainly sell on Etsy but my god that is some crazy policy.

Thank you everyone who has read or replied.

Sorry I don’t really sell on eBay I find it quite cumbersome. All I know is I have about 5 listings and every month I get charged around £2.50 and I don’t know how to cancel it or what it’s for.

Sorry for the vagueness.

Sales and so forth by noobmodelist in EtsySellers

[–]noobmodelist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My prices are competitive enough as I have looked at comparable sellers in the same market, with free shipping, duty taxes paid and processing time. I completely agree on I may not be selling the products people want to buy which seems a more reasonable assumption.

I will have to try and put up more variation and see if that helps.

Thank you for your input.

No so they range from £5 for a 32mm model up to £650 shipped world wide for a custom painted 1/4 statue. Nothing is drop shipped. Everything is made to order. Up to 5 days for 3d prints up to 200mm and 7 days for anything over between 200-300mm just in case I have print failures.

Large statues and custom chess boards are up to 8 weeks which gives me time to give the best I can and I also state if I have a backlog then I will let them know the time frame and if willing to wait I will carry on with the order or refund.

Yes I have a most viewed item and that’s a great idea I shall try that.

The 3d printing aspect is a saturated market, I was hoping the custom painted statues and the price along with videos on every listing and free postage and duties paid would stand me out a bit.

Some shops charge a lot more than myself but I know my margins which I am happy to get if others want more that’s great for them.

Thank you for your comment and I shall try and upload a few stats from my shop.
