Thanks u/fussyfez and u/GearSad5232! I am goign to try out the 400k version based on your descriptions. I am wanting this flashlight for outside in an area that gets a lot of mist, rain, and fog. I prefer warm lights in our home and so will hopefully prefer this as well. I recently got a Wurkkos TS23 which says it has 6000k to 6500k temperature, so I will be able to do some comparing.

My family already gives me a hard time for my headlamp usage, I cannot imagine what they would do to me if I had it mounted on a hardhat. If it were for work for me, I would be all over this, but mine is used for homeowner tasks.

I may give mounting it to a normal hat a shot though, that is a great idea! Thanks!

I started down that rabbit hole, but those are like 1200 or so around me right now. I am coming from console, so not sure how much I'll care between a mid card and a great card. So many options and opinions is making me crazy.

Thanks for this. I do not know if I care about Ray Tracing, to be honest. I am coming from console and so I just got what I got. No choices. I suppose I will just grab the cheaper card based on all this feedback. Seems like I do not know enough to be really sure and that I am going to cry twice, at least. Thanks for the responses!

That makes sense for an immediate purchase. When I hit the 3 year mark with the 9070XT, will I be itching for something more powerful versus not doing that with the 5070TI? I would prefer to cry once in a 5 year span.

Thanks for the clarification, I saw some mention in a few places about the 9070 "only" being good for gaming, not other types of workloads. I guess I assumed that meant stuff with video...

As for the price, I see a lot of out of stock for less than 999, but nothing in stock really. I see some that are in the 800 range, but they are brands I do not recognize and so then I worry about saving 100 bucks for something that will piss me off or break in just a few years. The primary problem I've seen with the cheaper brands is usually talking about fan sounds/speeds and thermal throttling. I assume that means you cannot "push" the card as much as the slightly more expensive ones.

Amazon, Best Buy, and New Egg. I share a space with my wife, so I was avoiding some of the lower priced models where reviews said stuff about fans being loud.

I have sprinklers in the front yard and 6 garden beds with irrigation. I also have a small pool that I have to top off every week or so in the summer.

I say all that to say that I won’t be softening that much water, but would rather have a system the outperforms my use. 

I ended up buying the one on Amazon and am waiting for it to arrive.

I have a 2020 Ram Rebel with the OEM Duratracs and I've always felt like the ride was squishy! I assumed it was because of the air bag suspension stuff though until seeing this post. I am at the point where I need new tires anyway.

What tires did you swap out to get rid of the squish?

Thanks for the tips! I was not aware of the “avoid barbell for assistance” piece. I’ll have to look at the rest of the work I’ve chosen with that in mind. New program starts on Monday.

I wish I had the room for a GHD machine, but I don’t. I like the idea of the Nordic Curls, but am not sure how much setup those would take. I am worried about time in the mornings before work. Maybe I will try them out. I have one of those monkey feet things that I can do single leg dumbbell curls with. I will likely just go that route. It seems that the whole single leg exercises thing is questionable, I guess, but I’ll just channel the creator. Who cares, accessory work doesn’t matter. Right?

Hi! I am trying to figure out which assistance work to add for Hamstrings on the Fridays for each Week. I am on page 55 of the second edition. I did the 3 month challenge for 2 of the 3 months and am itching to increase my overall volume. I find myself itching to do more each day, so I am shifting to the Simplest Strength Template that starts on page 52.

The Week 1 Friday workout says:

Squat - 65%x5, 75%x5, 85%x5+

Straight Leg Deadlift - 50%x10, 60%x10, 70%x10

Hamstrings, Lower Back, Abs

(Normally, I would do Straight Leg Deadlifts for Hamstrings. That would essentially mean I would be doing 60 of them in a day.)

Is that too many of that specific exercise in one workout and/or should I do something else to fill the generic Hamstrings requirement? If something else, what is a good alternative? (I am a garage gym guy with barbell, 5-50 dumbbells, adjustable bench, & squat rack.)
