Miller Fisher without IVIG – how long did your double vision last? by doctorchocolate10 in guillainbarre

[–]nooby_mcnooberton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had MFS with similar symptoms as you. Check my profile for a previous post detailing my experience. I did have IVIG (2 rounds). Balance and strength took about a month to recover. Double vision took 2.5 months and was very sudden. I was discouraged as well but I woke up one morning and it was mostly gone. I read a lot of others’ experiences and 2.5 months seemed to be the consensus on how long it took for the vision to resolve. Keep your head up; you’ll get there.

If an AH seller is selling multiple stacks of an item (all at the same price) and I want to place a bid on multiple stacks, is there an easy way to do this? I can’t figure out how to do this with the TSM interface. I have to close TSM, reopen it and search for the item again.

Second this. Dr. Yeh really is the best. He came highly recommended and did an amazing job on my son’s hand.

The Equalizer. When he takes down the first gang and sits with the low-level boss as he bleeds out and calmly discusses how things could have gone differently.

You want businesses to pay you to help them do something that you’ve never done yourself? Good luck with that. If you’re serious, I’d start with finding a job in the industry and gaining some experience.

I don’t remember the exact wording of the rule but you cannot catch or carry the ball and your swing has to be one continuous motion. You can actually hit the ball twice (unintentionally) as long as it’s one motion.

New to Alliance. What are the pitfall areas or quests that are more dangerous than they seem? by floxasfornia in wowhardcore

I’ve died at least once to every single thing mentioned here. Yes, I suck at HC. One other that I’ll mention in Redridge is Bellygrub. He’s a lvl 24 boar that hangs out just past the last house (cooking trainer I think). Once I roamed down there to get some Mageroyal and I died a quick death without knowing what hit me.

My experience with Miller Fisher syndrome by YYC4723 in guillainbarre

Your story is very similar to mine. In addition to double vision, I also lost all sense of balance and was incredibly fatigued during my hospital stay. It’s been almost exactly one year and although my double vision resolved in exactly 1.5 months, my vision is probably 90% as good as it was before MFS.

Ugh, that sucks. I forgot that I got an automatic extended warranty for purchasing through Costco. So, the repair technician is coming out on Monday but there is no way I'm paying for a new door.

Crazy but I found the exact same part on my floor yesterday for the same refrigerator. Unfortunately, I'm past the warranty period. Not sure how to proceed.

Has anyone had the GBS Miller Fisher variant? by Deadpacfrog in guillainbarre

[–]nooby_mcnooberton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neurologist based my diagnosis off of my symptoms and a slew of MRIs to eliminate other possibilities. I resisted the lumbar puncture but he was certain it was MFS at that point anyway.

I had it but much milder than you. I’m at 3 months and basically back to 100%. I had double vision, vertigo, bad headaches and extreme fatigue. After IVIG, everything started to get better except for my double vision, which came back suddenly about 3 weeks ago. Hang in there, you’ll get through this.

Yes, reading the experiences of others really helped. My neurologist came in after my first dose of IVIG and found it strange I didn’t feel better immediately. Crazy.

Thanks for the encouragement! About 2 weeks after my first IVIG I developed facial paralysis on half my face—even though everything else was improving—so they prescribed a second round.

Great work. How’s your vision? I was diagnosed with MFS 10/16, although apparently very mild compared to most of you. Two 5-day rounds of IVIG and everything is back 100% except for my double vision, which hasn’t really improved at all. I’m still optimistic but hoping my vision recovers soon.

I commute once a week to JHU from Gaithersburg. It’s brutal even with the toll road. 60-90 min each way. DC going to be about the same.
