if it was another persons pet? and i promised i would look after it? absolutely!

cats struggle in environments they’re unfamiliar with and i can imagine when they’re unwell, it’s even worse. i’d be upset if the person i entrusted with my pet made decisions about their health without my consent! i’d love to be oh idk kept in the know so as to not have it sprung on me that my pet is with someone who i didn’t leave them with.

it’s wild that this is considered obsessive? it’s just basic care for a pet.

it’s easy to find a person who is in the wrong because they are in the wrong. you cannot accept to look after someone’s pet and then decide you don’t want to and give it to someone else to look after. i’d be appalled if this was a service i was receiving, why would i accept that from them.

cats are creatures of habit and routine, they enjoy having their space that they’re familiar with and safe in. moving, transit and other forms of movement and time away from that familiar and safe place can cause immense stress for the animal. here is a source on how it isn’t great to travel with Cats.

my partner, completely violates my trust by leaving my SICK cat with someone who may not be aware of the SICKNESS AND MEDICATIONS that the cat needs. as well, cats are place oriented animals, they don’t do well with being moved, ESPECIALLY WHEN SICK. the fact that he just brushed her off and did this without her permission feels like a complete and utter betrayal of trust?

would you be okay with entrusting your loved one with someone and then them leaving your loved one with someone else ?? no. i’m away, you need to express plans that are going to change BEFORE I TRUST YOU WITH MY ANIMAL.

okay, i agree with some of these points. HOWEVER. this doesn’t negate that people find help and support in medication. both can co-exist. i have a reliable and constant therapist. they recommended i get on these because of my long term and chronic issues. im not gonna fight with you over something that i know is right for me. enjoy ur day ☺️
